Did a ship recently get deployed or go out to sea near where this little boy was found.

how do i put a photo up without a URL? Like if its just on my computer and not on a website?
I found some photos of the boy who was my son's friend.

Laura I don't think you can post a pic. If you think it's the little unidentified boy, your best bet is to call it into LE

There IS a military base in Florida because I am pretty sure that my friends baby daddy when she was with him was stationed there. He had family there too but then he was moved to a base in Maryland.

This has to be solved, if not, it's going to haunt people for years to come.
Have we checked to see if there are any little ones missing from Europe that fit the description?

My daughter turned 5 in February and wears a size 11/12 shoe depending on the style and as SarahEcho mentioned I commonly buy 1/2 a size bigger to allow for growth. So it really does vary for every child. That goes for the clothes as well. My daughter has always followed along with the sizes very well (wore 12 months when she was 12 months, wore 18 months when she was 18 months, 24 months or 2T when she was 2, 3T when she was 3, and so on) but my niece was wearing 2T by the time she was 12 months and now wears 4T and 5T at 3 years old. She is short but broad and built like a football player so her pants and shirts are often too long but fit well width wise. On the other hand, my daughter has now started to stray from the sizes as she seems to have started growing faster than in the past. She grew out of 4T and into 5T way before she turned 5 and now wears 6x in most things. So it would be nice to have the clothing size, but it may not help narrow the age down anymore than they already have. (4-5) is pretty narrow actually and I don't think they can narrow that much more with all the difference in sizes and the way kids grow.

Also a side note...my 5-year-old lost her first tooth right after she turned 4 and has lost 5 of them since then (over the last year) while my friend's daughter lost her first tooth the same day only she was 6 (almost 7).

I hope they ID this sweet boy soon...it's driving me nuts! Someone has got to be missing him!!

just for info purposes, the main vessels out of the navy yard there in Maine/New Hampshire are primarily sub marines. If the boy was a navy kid, his parent was more than likely on a sub.

I have been checking all day and have come to a dead end. But it is definitely worth another look.

I have no idea about Europe or even if they have checked Canada as it really is not that far.
Let's keep in the back of our minds that it might not have been a Navy sign at all near or on the plate but something else entirely.

My nephew is stationed in Norfolk, VA with the Navy, on a ship there...so there is for sure a base there.

Couldn't the tag belong to someone who is retired navy? That if the car was purchased recently the tag frame may have come with the car.

Usually a female doesn't go out and buy a Tacoma w an extended cab w a lid on the bed, nor are they cheap.

My husband, who is active duty AF, says yes they do have a DNA database but it's ONLY purpose is to check the remains of military (former, or active - POW and MIAS also.)

Dear Noway,
The press has just put out an enhanced photo of this poor little boy.
(ABC News under google has a posting of the photo and clothing)
People need to view this all over the country and in Canada.
This little boy must be identified.
Must find his identity to find reason behind the non reporting of this
very young boy missing.
Family involved in this or why not reported? Unless family/parent also
abducted. Three families in this country remain missing and not found.
Please post his photo if you know how. I do not know how to do this
on this site. Thank you. Deb-Z

Do they give military id's to children?
I'm an exmilitary wife and I had an id, but I didnt have kids at the time so I don't know if they give them to them. I'm sure they keep the id's in a database like the DMV would. Hopefully any military places around there are going though there ID photos.

bbm - Not until the child is 10 years old.

Thank you.I am not familiar with the navy this far up.I was not sure if there were ships there? So subs are there. To be fixed and then leave to go back to where they came from?Do the people at the ship yard go back with the sub or just stay there to fix other subs.Do other subs deploy from there and come back.I did find this. http://www.navsea.navy.mil/shipyards/portsmouth/default.aspx
But I know nothing about this particular ship yard at all.I'm just asking these questions because I feel if there was a father of this little boy.He got deployed to some where else and may not be aware of his little boy and what became of him.Right now.I do not know what happened.I am just thinking out loud I guess trying to figure it out.I do think it has a navy connection.

They would have to use so many factors to give age guesses because growth varies so widely and even perfectly healthy children can grow more slowly than their peers. My son was in the 90th percentile for growth (weight) when he was 0-6 months and he slipped into the 30th by the time he was 1 and stayed there. He did not lose ONE tooth until he was nearly 7 and at sge 8, he's only lodt four teeth. His best friend lost them in kindergarten...my son? End of first grade, second grade, third grade. At age 8, he wears a size 1.5 shoe which is smaller than average for his age. Sometimes there's no accounting for growth and I see the evidence of that with my own child and the children I work with in my profession as a healthcare provider.
