I have been following this thread, praying for someone to identify this poor baby. As a Mom of a 6 year old little boy, this story breaks my heart. Currently, I am sitting at work with a speaker in my ear listening to the South Berwick Police, EMS, and Fire scanner, hoping for any glimmer of new information.

I am also listening to the scanner on my Ipod touch. Nothing really going on right now other then an accident with a semi-truck. I will keep everyone posted if I hear anything.

This whole case has me so upset I can hardly stand it. Who in their right mind (since we are assuming it's not a stranger abduction...which sounds right IMO) would leave a (their) child on a back road like this?????? My heart is utterly breaking.

I really hope the press conference is to announce that they found out who he is. It's heartbreaking to think that someone is not missing him or nobody noticed that he was gone.

I don't think the shoes will help0 at all.. i've got 5 boys from 10 down to 3 they have all had lightening mcqueen tennis shoes at one time or another. Target, payless, walmart, kmart, kohls have all had them at various times over the years since the movie Cars came out..

I know, as with everyone here. This is why we signed up, to help, to care. This little boy has a voice and his voice is us!

The trooper seems upset. He is saying that they are leaning towards the boy being from a military family.

They received over two hundred leads, they are about halfway through those.
Saying that the witness said the navy insignia was on or around the plate.
Saying they need to get the DNA into namus to eliminate that way.
When asked if it was a homicide he responded saying they haven't ruled anything out at this time.
Saying a lot of times bodies are found within 300ft of some kind of comfort zone.
He was clean, nails clean, small kid but doesn't think he was under nourished.
Doesn't think they are legally allowed to match boys DNA with DNA in codus.
State with most leads is Maine , others are Florida, Alabama, Michigan, California ...more
Maybe someone in the military that has not been in the community long.
Fleece blanket army green in color, not camo.
Sneakers like new.

a lot of times bodies are found within 300ft of some kind of comfort zone, should we check property deeds possible past resident? Doubt it but could be a relative of a past resident that is now in the military?

Perhaps they are former military that is from the area but has been gone for a long time and just returned

I hate to say it... and I don't know if there would even be a way to do it... but what about sending the picture to Iraq/Afghanistan and anywhere else that troops are serving from that area of the US?

I am thinking we may be talking about one parent who is deployed... with another parent who dropped off this child.

I am guessing that there isn't some "database" of email addresses where they could send an email and the picture could be distributed to the troops...

I do think they need to find a way to do that though. If we are talking about someone with very little other family or friends... the other parent may be the only person to notice the child missing.

Especially if they are newly stationed.

Maybe former military... or maybe the child of a military member who grew up in the area and just returned?

I was thinking before military couple.I believe he said one person was witnessed in the truck?I'm thinking military wife(little boys mother)Dad out to sea?That would be very very sad.

Long shot but I asked my dad if he remembers any past military families that were neighbors of my aunt when she lived where the boy was found. Perhaps those neighbors had children that also went into military and the boy is a child of one of them. There were several children I remember I played with as a child at that location my aunt had an above ground pool so all the kids ended up there
