I think its real strange and not so sure about "routine". It has been almost a month and the crime was in W. Stewartstown, not Colebrook. Far as I knew, KM was already interviewed and it was confirmed his vehicle was released.

Interesting also that the chief of police in Colebrook is cousin to the mother.

Since this guy has been in trouble before and they went through his vehicle, I suppose it's possible they brought him in for questioning on a crime unrelated to Celina. Perhaps they found some pot in his truck or something or maybe possible stolen items. Just surmising....

I just received word from one of the local news source that KM did in fact accompany a N.H. State Police detective to the Colebrook PD station but it was only part of a routine follow up in the continuing investigation.

KM was not taken into custody or place in handcuffs. He is thought to have returned home afterwards also.

According to the detective my source talked with there was nothing particularly significant about what took place this afternoon beyond it being part of the ongoing investigation and questioning of people who were part of the family circle regarding what they saw and what they may know.

Seems to me that it's a bit late in the game to be asking routine questions of the home's residents particularly if they came to get him and escorted him to the PD. Routine questioning could have been done at his house.

Ah- thanks y'all- I tend to dissect statements sometimes:)
I just wondered if she was kind of sending out the message, if you are an accessory after the fact/principal in the second degree, etc..we are gonna get ya...... I don't know, offering a deal without outright saying it??? Like , come on gimme something.

Interesting how LE handles cases differently across the states

Magdalyn- someone pointed out a hanging key holder once, in one of the pics with Celina, and I think KM and KM-sis. SO keys may have be available, maybe not with permission....considering KM past penchant for theft by taking of cars:)
who knows

I think the problem for me is that I thought it would be a slam dunk. Wrapped in a blanket, felon living in the home, SF with psycological problems. But, apparently it is not so obvious or not so simple. I would think they could have identified the blanket? I would think they could have found DNA or some identifying evidense on the blanket. To me the blanket is the answer. I just don't get it. I really wish they would say something. Tell us where they are in the investigation. jmo

Ahhh but we don't know for absolute certainty there was a blanket....much less anything else attached to or around the body...several MSM mentioned the blanket- but LE/Jane Young never specifically mentioned one or anything else.

True..but if someone was lying , are they going to be able to keep remembering the lie(s) ??

You are right about that, but where do you think the MSM got that information? I wouldn't think they would make it up, do you? But, that could explain a lot of things. I would think if there was a blanket that would be the smoking gun. Don't you agree? ty

From WS TOS:

Social Networks

Regarding Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and other social networking or blog websites: Links may be used to direct posters to view something on a social networking page. But postings on social networking sites are not considered fact; they are rumor. Copying and pasting, or taking screen caps, directly from these pages is not allowed. Paraphrasing is okay. (Exception: If the Twitter or Facebook post belongs to a verified news station, it may be copied. But a link should still be provided.)

Also, social networking pages may only be linked if they are directly related to a case, i.e. the victim or suspect. We don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman, or postal carrier just because they know the main player. We also NEVER link to minor's pages (unless they are the victim). And be sure that the page actually belongs to the person being discussed. Do not link to someone if you are not 100% sure it is the correct person. And if a social networking is set to private and you get in the back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private!

I haven't really seen mention of the blanket in any recent reports, has anyone else?

Also, what that could mean is that someone put her into the river...it still might not tell if she was murdered. And it could have been a very generic blanket or wrap or sheet of some kind, if there was one.

I'm with ya on that one! I did and still do think that! LE had full access to the home for investigation. Neighbors reported LE carrying out a load of items. I'd like to hear about tests conducted on C's pillow and comforter that was on the sofa and actual sofa itself! not to mention her basement bedding. We know the family computer and c's facebook has to be another source of interest, along with clothing/shoes that certain individuals were wearing that night. I know it might have been a week before LE started really gathering items, but some things don't fully wash out and this family doesn't strike me as the type to really clean up and cover up very well. :fence:

The not having a lawyer thing doesn't surprise me. He may not be able to afford one. If he's not under arrest, he doesn't have the right to a state appointed attorney. (does he?) And WN *might* have money, but that wouldn't necessarily mean he's gonna share it with his wife's ex-boyfriend's son.

And I only say WN *might* have money because ... even people with a healthy income (retired military in WN's case) can spend far more than they make. At a dental office I've worked at, I've done credit checks on physicians making 400,000 a year and we had to decline them credit for dental work because they were waaaay upside-down financially--bought one too many Mercedes and probably should have just said no to that 2nd home--that kind of thing.

IDK, to me it sure sounds like he's one of a couple unofficial POIs. I know they did examine his car. They also examined WN's car ... but did KM possibly have access to it? I mean, if he's been 'cleared', they don't need to drag him to the station to ask a few simple questions. They could just go to his house, pull out the notepad and the tape recorder, etc. They went to his home and collected him to question him formally at the station. I'm pretty sure Celian's dad has been cleared since he was in a coma when she went missing, and I'm 99% sure he never had to go to the station even once...

I also don't draw any automatic 'KM must be innocent' conclussions just because LN has him living with them. LN may be far more trusting than she should be. Just one theory, but KM might be feeding her 'you know it HAD to be WN' lines. Just a thought.

One last question ... isn't the only thing we've heard about KM's whereabouts that night is from HIM? He says he came home and the couch was empty and he watched TV ... then ... so no one saw when he came home or when he went to bed ...? Was he even there come morning? Anyone know more detail than that?

Knowing that LCN is very trusting and naive, wouldn't the police warn her against having him in her home if they suspected him?

I agree we have very little information about KM, but if the police knew/thought he was guilty, surely they would advice LCN from having him in her home w/KL.

Not necessarily. If a family member OR a stranger were in her room, they could take a blanket from her bed/house. Celina could have brought her own blanket outside as well, or she or the perp could have grabbed any number of blankets from her house or the back of a truck, someone's clothesline...

I mean, even if someone wrapped her in their own monogrammed blanket with a picture of themselves embroidered on it AND it had the perp's semen on it (ugh) ... the perp could say "Someone STOLE that blanket from me to frame me! And it's MY blanket and sometimes guy's blankets have semen on them!"

I think a blanket/sheet might be a puzzle piece (if it exists) but not necessarily a smoking gun. :twocents:

The thing is for me---there is evidense. There has to be. I am not buying that there isn't. A person does not just disappear. There has to be a trail, a person of interest, something that leads to the perp. If there is no evidense then it must have been 'magic' and I don't buy that. jmo

:twocents: Just food for thought while we wait: The process of dealing with folks within the suspicious death scenario puzzle is L O N G and T E D I O U S to both the observers and those embroiled within the core.:banghead: For we the observers, unlike in the "sunshine state", NOTHING needs to be presented to the populace and as has been my experience & upbringing, given the tight-lipped New Englander attitude:seeya:, very little will be leaked from the principles! Yet for those inside the case,no matter how long it takes to get it, each preliminary or oral report brings him or her closer to a "joyful" closure in his/her component of the HUGE overview puzzle. :woohoo: And darn it, as a participant you REALLY want TO provide YOUR part of the puzzle picture and make it "air tight". :rocker:
My:innocent: interpretation of this investigation is based on experience where slow and steady makes the case and wins the "race", that the issues of the COD & MOD will be resolved to the best of human ability by the incorporation of the totality of ALL the data: scientific by observation (autopsy et al), forensic data (toxicology & chemical analysis et al), behavioral (interrogatory statements in agreement &/or conflict) and by all members of the investigation teams.:rocker::rocker::rocker:

People don't always listen, especially if they *think* they know better. If LN is as kind hearted as implied, she might think being suspicious of her dear 'step son' as rubbish, and she might not want to turn KM out with nowhere to go.

I'm not saying it's him, or WN, but LN wouldn't be the first 'family member' in the world who couldn't possibly fathom her child/stepson/husband could commit a crime on another family member and think the police are crazy for supecting them.

Are you saying they brought their own blanket in to her room? Not sure I am understanding what you are saying. If she is wrapped in a blanket, it is either hers or someone else's . If it is someone else's I think planting a blanket is a stretch. And whatever there should be DNA or certainlly lint or something to check out on the blanket. I don't know just trying to think logically. Seems nothing in this case makes sense. jmo

snipped-" "She said the toxicology results are just one piece in the investigation, which she hopes will lead to a successful prosecution of anyone who played a role in the girl's disappearance and death. "We are building a puzzle here, so we need the pieces to be put together to get the big picture," she said, to determine "what happened to her and...if anybody was involved in that, and if they were, that they will be held responsible."

I had to read this part several times....does this sort sound like maybe they are thinking more than one person was responsible/involved?? Or more than one person has knowledge?

Or is it just me?

Verbiage only: Anybody = more than one person so she continues in that same plurality of speech.

:twocents: For me, and again I am very biased toward this component of the investigation (toxicology), the greatest detail of her information to the public is that she is declaring albeit subtlety that the pieces MUST be put together before she'll go riding off into the sunset with LE to "handcuff" her perp. She wants this legal battle to be as air tight as possible to get a conviction OR to demonstrate to the perp that he/she would be much better off just admitting to the crime!

I wonder what will happen next if tox shows nothing...
