He could have also been notified that they found her. We don't know when that happened, and how long it took the AG to get out there

I don't think that's the case. The media was just asked to leave the area and now apparently residents are also being asked to leave. So if Celina is found, it is happening as we speak.

His interview was early this morning before all this was reported.

It was speculation only based on coincidence. Both happening this morning. Yes the news of the search near the dam could have sent him into shock.....depending on what reason one wants to believe.

1) He knows she's there.

2) Dive searches usually result in the child being found dead.

Very true - just trying to think of all possibilities and throw them out there. I always try to give family the benefit of the doubt as long as I can because I've seen a few cases where the family appeared suspicious or at least a little "off", but it turned out the perp was someone else.

It's also possible the manner in which the news was communicated could play a part. If it was sprung on him via the media for a reaction shot, that could be quite rough to deal with.

What's happening now is that they are getting ready to move her body I think. Really, we do not know how long they have known it is there, and generally they do warn the family before this kind of speculation runs rampant.

Very close to the home....

Has this area been searched before. I notice that there are pictures of State Police car noted as Canine Unit.

That poor girl - any chance of suicide?

From looking at the photos of the dam/river, it looks like it would be difficult to accidentally go over. I wonder what others think. I don't have any feeling of suicide from Celina...

Does anyone know what the abbreviation AVH is - curious if it is a health center, or a geographical thing related to this bridge?

I think when they say they have asked the residents to leave, they mean to leave the scene. Not leave their homes. Residents have probably come out to view what LE is doing.

Does anyone know where this was taken from? The caption is Dive teams in the Connecticut River

Is this the Main street/Gale Street Bridge or the Canaan Hydro Dam or what may be a bridge just north of the dam?

I would expect a kidnapper or murderer to move a body a lot further away from the general search area. That has me leaning more toward an accidental drowning or suicide.

It looks to me like there is a fence, at least on one side, but I can't see the other.

I hate to bring this up, but one thing I remember from the Caylee Anthony case is that when parents kill their children, the remains are almost always found near the home.
Not that this is the case here....just saying....

It appears to me that this is an old bridge that is half missing. That big concrete slab on the right seems to be in the area of what would have been the middle of a bridge. But it's difficult to tell.

When we were kids we would jump off bridges and swim in creeks all the time ...
at night was the best.
