Kids will get you like this every time...When the policeman found him I'm sure you were crying, laughing and embarrassed all at the same time...at least that's how I would have been...my son got lost in a Sam's Club one time...several minutes went by and we alerted security and I imagined every horrible scenario. Then he just came walking up with someone who worked there and I just fell to my knees crying with relief...If I was as upset as she was said to have been, I can't imagine not alerting the police immediately...better to be embarrassed than to let time elapse so that there is more possibility of someone getting lost to you forever...

That is exactly how I felt!! My older son did something similar (no need for 911 that time) and even now, knowing that they are okay, when I think about it my chest gets tight. But I don't regret calling 911 at all!

I may be wrong in this, but I believe it is up to the individual town so the building plans would be with the zoning board of the town. I am not certain if that is accurate about having the two doors for a fire code in NH. I believe each town is responsible for their own codes..

Each town can add to the state as long as it is not less stringent then the States.

However there are no State Inspectors to inspect..

I. The local enforcement agency appointed pursuant to RSA 674:51 shall have the authority to enforce the provisions of the state building code, provided, however, that where there is no building inspector, the state fire marshal or the state fire marshal's designee shall have the authority to enforce the provisions of the state building code, subject to the review provisions contained in RSA 155-A:10.

In other words it is up to the local fire department..

Usually I right click on the image. I use Firefox and this brings up several options for me.
copy the location of the photo - it should look like a we address but end in .jpg

Before the address, put img in square brackets ][ (but the right way)
after the address, put /img in brackets
preview the post to check if it works, and you're all set!

BBM

If you click on the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the editor a box (the icon that looks like a little mountain, you can hover your cursor over the icon and it will tell you what it is also) it will open a box that you can paste the URL for the image into. When you click OK the editor will automatically wrap the URL with the IMG tags.

Thank you, pgayle, and everyone else who answered to my post.

You are right people are going to go by what their county and state require.

I was only going by what I know of the National Fire Protection Association, it governs the whole United States, and all most every insurance carrier requires insurance on buildings...

But there is always people who only go by what the state and town require...

True. Never heard of someone being put on display for a service and then being cremated later though. In my neck of the woods, cremation was not real common, at least with the people I know, until about 5 years ago. Since that time, I've known several who had requested to be cremated.
I have had two family members who passed away and there was no funeral, just a family visitation and then a graveside service the next day.
I am considering cremation, just to keep the costs down. Not quite sure what to do with the ashes... we don't live close to the ocean and can't think of anyplace I would want them scattered. I sure don't want them kept in an urn up on somebody's mantel. :waitasec:

When my FIL died, there was a viewing of him in a reguar casket (rented) and then he was cremated. The cremation coffin was made of cardboard.

ETA: Sorry-- not intending to upset anyone....I posted this, then backtracked and am reading "up" from here.

The Catholic religion requires cremated remains to be buried in a cemetery.

I understand that cell phone coverage was very bad in Celina's town and LE had to get a temporary tower erected to effectively communicate during the searches. I think we are therefore assuming Celina and her family did not have cell phones. I wish that were confirmed by LE; there were several photos on FB that could have been taken by a cell camera, but maybe they had a digital camera? Just curious; perhaps if the cell coverage is iffy but that's what everyone is used to, they might use them anyway. Cell phone records, pings, pix and such have been tools used in so many cases over the last 10 years that it feels like a piece is missing without them, imo.

Assuming folks in Stewartstown used land lines, I'm interested to know about the call records from the home phone(s) in the house. Who was calling in and out on a regular basis, what phone calls were made in the days before and after Celina went missing... Maybe some forthcoming clues in the call logs?

That's the one I've tried several times. Even when it says to
browse, I still can't make the photo show up, like I can at FB.

Sad, but I must not know what a photo's URL is.

Here is another picture of WN's pickup before it was covered and before LE had crime scene tape surrounding the house. Unless someone just moved the boxes that were in the green can in between times, it looks like possibly there is a difference in what is in the cans.. The trash in the red can looks completely different.

It looks to me that there was more garbage in the truck when this photo was taken compared to when investigator was taking pictures of the truck.

I can very much understand being freaked out and crying if my child had been discovered to be missing. But why was Celina's mother INCONSOLABLE and sobbing to the point her neighbor could barely understand her when, for all they knew, Celina had only been missin about an hour?

Maybe because she knew her "shy" daughter wasn't the type to wander on her own. if My son (about that age) was missing an hour I'd probably be inconsolable too. he does NOT wander around the neighborhood. that would be a HUGE sign there was a BIG problem. BIG. i don't think it means anything more than that.

The only time embalming is required by law is when there is a public viewing.
There's actually no law that says a body must be embalmed, but there are guidelines that are followed when the body is not embalmed.
These days, it is common to have a open casket service with a coffin prior to cremation.

Looks like the pizza box was moved from the green trash can to the red one.

There were at least some cell phones, one of KL's friends got one for her birthday in the last couple of weeks.

I wish Mr. Laro would put on his best clothes, reflect upon the sweetness of his murdered daughter, and go to the funeral to respect and mourn the loss of Celina. If he is physically unable, he can respect and mourn her in his own way from home or the hospital. But, please, stop taking focus away from Celina's funeral by continually complaining about how he is being wronged... It's selfish, irritating and disrespectful, imo..

Mr. Laro doesn't need an invitation, he cannot legally be banned from his daughter's funderal AFAIK. More likely, he is again waiting for other family members to contact him rather than proactively getting involved (like one would expect from any normal father of a murdered child). He has my sympathy for his loss, but not my trust in his motives at this point. He is acting like someone with an agenda for himself; an agenda outside of simply seeking/stating the truth and finding justice for Celina, imo... I hope his next public statements will focus more about the injustices put upon his daughter, and not petty (perceived?) slights against himself...

I find this post to be remarkably unkind, and harsh, as well. Considering that
Mr. Laro is seemingly at death's door due to his heart condition, and that he has just lost his little daughter to a horrible crime, I personally am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. When reporters contact him, he answers their questions. An agenda? I imagine his agenda is to stay alive long enough to see his daughter's killer(s) brought to justice.

The instructions you were given were correct and you were probably doing it right, but it won't work in this case because it is not just a picture, but embedded in a PDF file. But it is a cute picture.

I agree. I have no issues with Mr. Laro.
