I've obviously missed something, but where did Celina get her last name? Or, from whom?

Her mother's maiden name is Cass. She was not married when she had Celina.

"removed barrels of evidence "

What odd wording.
Odd fits. This unsolved murder victim's family rode a parade float with girls that threw candy and waved while wearing homecoming/Easter dresses yet they planned a private funeral.

Some people refer to trash cans as trash barrels. It could be something they say in the northeast. Or it could refer to some other containers. I don't know why anyone would use a barrel to pack evidence.

Where I live in New England, everyone calls garbage cans barrels.

Yes, I use trash barrel/trash can interchangeably. I'd be more likely to use "can" for one of those old metal trash barrels, or any trash receptacles in the house that are metal rather than plastic, but for the most part, I do use both intergangeably.

Also, I do use trash and garbage interchangeably. :innocent:

There's nothing wrong with that! And if I were them, I'd have a private funeral, too. But remember... there's a public memorial service also.

I have seen absolutely nothing to indicate that this girl was not loved by her family and friends. Nothing whatsoever.

Me neither. That's what I was saying. :)

Actually, I thought I read that mom and AL were never married...so kind of unusual she would use his name for one child and not the other...confusing for the kids, IMO.

Can anyone tell me:

Were HRD dogs brought into the house or around the vehicles at anytime?

And this may already be known but I can't find the answer, and can't remember....

The Family Computer was there only one?

Wasn't Celina on a computer in her room, Or do I have that wrong?

Would the SF sit in Celina's room and be on the computer or were there two computers?

I definitely think there's still a chance that it was an outsider. I don't know how much information LE has at the moment, but I think the evidence will determine whether it was a person outside of the home.

I keep reading about toxicology reports. Aren't we also talking about DNA tests? They seem to take longer than a basic test for the presence of drugs/poisons.

The family having a private funeral is not what I was referring to as "odd".

Yes! I was agreeing with you, but I don't think I made that clear when I quoted you to respond to. I was vehemently disagreeing with another post that said she wasn't loved, and I didn't want to quote that one.

Then what do you find 'odd'? I thought your previous post referenced the combination of their participation in the town's weekend event and a private funeral?

I don't think we know about what types of dogs were used and I am sure we don't know about the number of computers...or for sure where she was using it. It has been stated that she was using it in her room, so I guess that means the basement?

This is what I find to be odd: a unsolved murder victim's family choosing to ride in a parade and choosing to participate in Mardi Gras behavior.

Snipped by me....you made some good points, but you are assuming that everyone is a light sleeper. My sister can sleep through anything. I literally could vacuum her room while she sleeps and it won't wake her. Me? I'm aware if the dog comes in my room to sleep next to my bed.

Just sayin'.......

My Dad slept through and earthquake that occurred while my mother was on the toilet.

He also slept through it when she dislocated her hip on the stairs to their bedroom... translation, it sounded like she was giving birth on the spot.

He could definitely sleep through someone moving a body... or 12.

I am neither chemist, nor forensic anthropologist. Luckily for all of us, I will never be called to testify as an expert witness, especially in trying to predict the moves of Jane Young, AAG. I think Ms Facetious might be though... She might want to start brushing up on her chemistry. :D

Funny fact about MsF... I could never testify. MsF and center of attention? Not a good combination.

This year I had the BEST birthday... we had a family reunion/party and every.single.person forgot it was on my birthday!
Parents, in laws, siblings, and husband! It was wonderful.

I'm not a chemist, a lawyer, or a doctor. But I'm a Mom and my kids have special needs... which automatically makes me a lawyer, a doctor,
a pharmacist, a mechanic, a chef and many other things.

Still not a chemist though. :seeya:

I guess we all view these things differently, just as different families grieve differently and make choices during that time that they think are right for them. We're not going through what they are.

I think it's great that they are making their own choices despite the criticism they were sure to get from some outsiders.

I keep reading about toxicology reports. Aren't we also talking about DNA tests? They seem to take longer than a basic test for the presence of drugs/poisons.

It would depend on the quality of the sample and what tests they were trying to preform and mostly, the backlog and speed at which the lab is working. Mostly the backlog. DNA can be done in hours under optimal circumstances. Supposedly, from what was reported, when Osama bin Laden was killed they had his DNA tests back in hours.

And on that note and totally O/T, I would like to mention how sad the loss of our SEAL Team 6 members makes me. They were stationed here where I live and all of the flags all over town are at half mast for them. RIP to our heroes. :(

Trash barrels are used in small towns throughout New Hampshire to haul trash to the dump, landfill or transfer station. It's not uncommon to see one or more trash cans in the back of a pickup truck.

When I looked at the silver truck I noticed the trash barrel as well as what looked like a red recycling bin. In the New England town where I live, there are two recycling bins, one for paper and one for containers. Trash and recycling are picked up curbside but you can also take it to the dump. Those large plastic trash cans can also have wheels for pulling them to the curb, or over to a truck. I suppose the trash can could stay in the truck all the time or you could keep the can close to the house then move it to the truck on recycling/dump day. I know that in other towns, trash has to be taken to the dump. Usually the towns require use of specific trash bags or the purchase of a trash sticker to put on your own bags. Very different than in a larger metropolitan area where these things are included in city services.

All of that said, I noticed what looked like a pizza box in the red container and the large green trash can. My assumption was simply that it was their trash and recycling to be driven to the dump.

I guess my point is that the trash can could have been right next to the house, then moved to the truck on rolling wheels. They make some noise, but maybe nothing someone would wake up to.

The idea for the float was purportedly from Celina's teenage sister, to be done in her memory. And all the pics I've seen, the mom looked barely "there" while on that float, and surrounded by pics of Celina, and the sister and friend wearing what was described as Celinas faorite princess outfits.

The Moms demeanor leads me to think she's sedated since this all happened.

Hardly Mardi Gras type behavior, IMO.
