Hinckley has the detective read a portion of a text sent from defendant to Kat McDonough, a statement that included that a price she'd pay would be to find a friend, and watch him 'pleasure her', then he talks about her watching as that friend 'dies' ... then he'd turn and his attention to Kat.

I think higher profile cases always seem to do this. The rules are tricky, everyone has to follow them closely or at least be on the same page.

Prosecution now asking defense for discovery of statements defense attny mentioned while questioning the detective. Defense says some statements came from phone calls the state gave to the defense and they chose to have transcribed. Judge just dismissed everyone, didn't hear if there was a ruling involved.

Hinckley said Mazzaglia sent McDonough a three-page, handwritten note detailing alibis and a plot to frame two friends for killing Marriott. He told McDonough to ''rip and flush'' the note. She ripped it up, but kept the shreds, which Hinckley said investigators reconstructed.
