Not in my childhood they weren't, tho I do think forcing a kid to eat their lima beans s/b considered a form of torture. IMO

Hinckley asking about Seth's personas... do you recall a Cyrus as well, yes… with respect to these different personas did they have different characteristics and emotions, yes - did he say one could look into the future? Yes Cyrus. Did he claim to have power – Yes.

She says she created personas in elementary school to help her overcome shyness.. Scarlett was confident.. James was a boy... so she could think, what would a boy do in this situation? When she met Seth, he told her he had the same thing.

She says he would often refer to the personas in the third person... Dark Heart wants .... as opposed to talking about himself in the first person. He took them seriously. There was no questioning it.
