I thought I read that he dropped a noose around Lizzie's neck while she was sitting on the sofa. Maybe she wasn't sexually interested in either of them? If you are willing to rape someone how much of a leap is it to kill the person afterwards? You want to get away with it.

Yes you're right... When he assaulted her, she must have freaked out and he realized she was going to tell and killed her to silence her.
