You are right, she could have simply refused. I agree she was all in.

Just sayin' he had her do his dirty work the creep, and that he is guilty of that final act as well.

He probably was figuring on how to get her in as deep as he was in this crime BUT she was willing to actively participate in this crime with the curtains and the bag and not offering one shred of help for the dying girl.

at 11:04 Kat sent a text to Lizzi's phone: … Hey dahling I expected you at 10.. I passed out and lost track of time.. you still coming? ... Hinckley asks Kat why.... Kat: he felt we had to cover it up, we were going to say she hadn’t come to the apartment as she was supposed to so that text was sent ... to cover up the murder

Yea, the quick closing of the curtains is very telling of her mindset at the time.

I feel like she isn't remorseful as much as she is just embarrassed about what people now know about her.

kat locked herself out of the apartment... and used Seth's phone to call the apartment to let him know... Kat saw Roberta and Paul approaching... and told them that she had locked herself out and asked Seth to open the back door...

Kathryn "Kat" McDonough, 19, of Portsmouth, was brought to tears during victim impact statements as she was sentenced to to 1½ to 3 years in prison on Thursday in Rockingham Superior Court in Brentwood.

I really hope one side or the other clarifies how much time she was given/will serve, so far it's anywhere from 1 1/2 years to 21 years, I do hope it's the longer term, she had so many opportunities to help Lizzie and did not one darned thing except help Seth.

That was what did it for me. If Kat was truly shocked, out of her mind with fear and horror she would not have known to close the curtains.

Kat: they looked very shocked… they were asking about what happened… Seth said he had blacked out… and Paul kept saying you got to call someone, call an ambulance you got to call someone ) … Roberta went over and pulled the bag off her head and she checked her pulse… they kept asking him what happened and he said he didn’t know..
