It hasn't been read into evidence yet. All of the evidence has been impossible to find. I've been searching for crime scene photos or a video of Kats sentencing hearing, not even a transcript....

Earlier today someone posted a newspaper article about oats sentencing hearihaunts posted the article. #802 prior thread. Don't know how to copy and post on kindle (I've also had wine~~dont judge it was rough this morning)

Thank you everyone for providing play-by-play of the trial. I kept losing the feed at work.

I hope the State of New Hampshire keeps an eye on Kat because she is scary to me. Since she is literally getting away with murder in my opinion, she may be emboldened to try it again.

I was astonished to read Kat's admissions to closing the curtains, putting Lizzie's body in the suitcase, and attempting to throw her off a cliff. That is absolutely chilling! And then to have breakfast in bed and sex the next morning like it was just a lazy Sunday morning. Wow! That's a scary girl.

Good Morning Sleuthers. Went out early to manage my tasks and cleared my desk for today's cross of KM. I can hardly wait.... it's gonna be another day of riveting testimony.
So, set your cell phone to vibe, order lunch early and settle in. It's gonna be a great day :)

Morning session starts at 10am today. Judge has other business to take care of.

Does anyone know how LE was tipped off to SM? What made them look at these two in the first place?

  • #206
I am torn. I want her to hold up because I want Seth to die in prison for the atrocities he committed against Lizzie but I want the defense to really make Kat suffer too.

I *assume* it was because Lizzie had told people (like Britney Atwood testified to) that Lizzie was planning to go there after lab.

Yes, you're absolutely right. I was just browsing old articles from when LM was missing.

"Marriott's disappearance set off a full-scale search in the seacoast region that is home to the UNH campus. But it didn't take long before Marriott's last text message – telling a friend she was going to "Kat's" – had investigators looking hard at McDonough and Mazzaglia."

Oh, there's plenty of time to make her suffer. Right now we need to nail this creep to the wall. She needs to be a ROCK this afternoon.

So sleuthers, I was mulling last night about the 'Are we painting tonight?' text...

I heard that they had purchased a tarp, duct tape and gloves as part of this murder plot. Which puts the text in a very different context, yes? In other words, he's asking her, 'Are we killing tonight?' She says, i guess, if you have a plan, but that she is nervous.

That make far more sense than the explanation she gives for the text at Day6, part 1 26:30 .

This would make them both guilty of first degree premeditated murder. :jail:

Neither one of them would want that crucial communication to get out.

I missed this piece yesterday. I was working all day so my coverage was spotty and didn't have a chance to watch the archives of any pieces I missed.

This makes me ill.

After listening to Kat's testimony and watching her reactions the heaving shoulders, the scrunched up eyebrows, the little voice the one thing that shock me into seeing this whole act was the little smirk I saw the start of when Kat was reliving the strangulation of Lizzi. It was there for a second. It looked like .38 seconds into this video. It is her mug shot and that smirk is the real Kat. IMO

Good morning... it really is enraging, on so many levels. :banghead:

You have a half hour to do a quick review before morning sessions starts...wink, wink

I think we will see justice for Seth in this trial. But Kat? Will she be ostracized? What if she moves will she still be recognized? Five years from now? Ten? IMO Kat got away with murder.

PS I am sick of these female partners getting a slap on the wrist while their partners go away for life.

Funny, I noticed that photo this morning, it really is a smirk, very telling. I was comparing her photos from her trial where she was dressing very feminine, pink sweater and curly short hair.

Listening to her describe in detail (not much hesitation either!) The murderer and disposal of the body~~all her ideas....I just can't get over her light sentence. I believe she is as guilty as him

I agree. So far the prosecution, although circumstantial, has been strong. KM has been a solid witness so far. I'm hesitant to pick at her story because we need this to be about him. But, she really did get away with murder. :banghead:

Yes! I was surprised at how much she admitted was her idea!

Did you hear anything about the 'Davy Jones Locker' comment?
