I didn't think I missed any of the video but it seemed to me the part where Lizzie died was sort of glossed over? I recall when Kat did her demonstration on the floor of how she was positioned but it didn't appear to me that she was discussing when Lizzie died - do I need to rewatch it for more detail or was my first impression correct?

It didn't come out in the video that I could see/hear. That's way they need to read that statement to us!!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

A little off-topic, but does anyone else find SM's choice of shiny vests and weird facial hair to be sort of unwise? I mean, is he trying to look seedy? Why didn't his attorney tell him to clean up his act?

I kinda thought the same--at least a shave.

She claims she was so broken up she couldn't function. But she was able to function enough to drive a car to Portsmouth. She was able to function enough to drag Lizzi to the water. She was able to function enough to come up with a clear plan of disposal. She was also able to function enough to be making out with another man in downtown Portsmouth while out on bail, laughing and giggling. She's been able to function enough to go to work. She was able to function enough to clean up a crime scene. Pretty functional for for someone so broken up they can't function. She was even able to function enough to suggest that Seth marry her and research it and tell him how to do it.

killing someone is a bump in the road? a pothole in life? A D in a class is a pothole. A zit on prom night is a pothole. Murder isn't a pothole. And she wasn't miserable, she was acting completely normal. I saw this child before she was arrested and was stunned since she was completely normal, happy, joking. Same Kat she had always been.

IMO it's a facade and how sociopaths live in our society without being ostracized.

My understanding is that they could only discuss the parts where she made changes to the statement. Which actually to me is interesting that the actual death, she did not seem to want to correct or add anything..so she got it right the first time?

I find the plea deal for Kat and the trial for Seth and Seth alone completely odd, yet I can't think of a better scenario to deal with them....by the State.

Anyone have any ideas?
Would the State have been better off not offering the deal to Kat and trying them together, separately? I know there are better minds at work here at WS than mine. I'd love to hear from you.

TY

I think, yes, they should have tried them separately like they did with Grant and Amanda Hayes. Both of them were convicted of murder, although the details of who did what exactly were never clarified - just that they acted in concert.

I want to hear from Seth......

ETA- LOL, Xara I posted this before I saw your post "I want to hear from Paul".
I was not responding to you. Just sitting here looking at Seth and really wanting to hear HIS side.

Oh, I'd like to hear from Seth too. Don't think we will though. Hope I'm wrong, but after that i don't think they need to.
It wouldn't shock me if the def just rests.

She also had sex the next morning with Seth-- when they woke up

Are we still on a break?

Was the prosecutor saying he was 'impeaching his own witness' to try to show she lied when she told the defense she caused Lizzie's death? And is that what the judge has to research, if that's proper impeachment, or impeachment at all?
