She claims she was so broken up she couldn't function. But she was able to function enough to drive a car to Portsmouth. She was able to function enough to drag Lizzi to the water. She was able to function enough to come up with a clear plan of disposal. She was also able to function enough to be making out with another man in downtown Portsmouth while out on bail, laughing and giggling. She's been able to function enough to go to work. She was able to function enough to clean up a crime scene. Pretty functional for for someone so broken up they can't function. She was even able to function enough to suggest that Seth marry her and research it and tell him how to do it.

Mom, I will give ya a dollar to bust into that courthouse and demand to take the stand!
(OK, 5 dollars... :giggle:)

On a serious note, have you thought about going to attorneys with any of this info? Or would that cause too much friction within your family/friend situation?
I say again, I hope someone like you who knows all of this stuff takes the stand.

Are we still on a break?

They came back, prosecutor started to ask her questions about the statement she gave to the defense, defense objected, * they had a bench conference, he told the jury he had to step out and so they had to also, for another few minute's break.

*ETA: prosecutor said he was impeaching his own witness, then the sidebar.

Friction when a young girl is dead means nothing to me. The question is, would they get Seth off. I've been planning to talk to the DA after the trial because if at any time Kat can be proven to have lied about things then she will go to jail for murder. I have no issue giving them info and then letting them do with it what they will. I love her family and wouldn't want to hurt them, but I'm also aware that an innocent girl was killed and deserves justice.

Applying law to impeach KM is tricky....did she lie to State when she said she lied to defense but really lied to Roberta in order to fix a lie with investigators but the lie to investigators was just a story so not a lie and she lied to defense to see if she could lie to Roberta!!!!!!! Whew!

It seems like every time the pros objects it is over ruled, but when the def does there is a bench conference and then the judge has to look something up.
Is it my imagination?

What a cluster. I've never seen a trial, where the prosecution has to impeach their own witness. It's confusing to me. I wonder if it is to the jury. So many lies to weed through, it is difficult to get to the truth. Lying about lies, that were lied about! :scared: :panic:

'...during the alledged scene that didn't actually happen.' She's becoming a word pretzel.

Kat also made a post on her tumblr site a few months ago that "last year was child's play". She also has a blog on experienceproject under the name pyratekitty talking about her life online being more real than her life offline. She also wrote a rather lurid poem, and this was back in 2009, years before she met Seth.

Impeaching his own witness. I am glad I didn't miss this with a workout on the elliptical.

A little off-topic, but does anyone else find SM's choice of shiny vests and weird facial hair to be sort of unwise? I mean, is he trying to look seedy? Why didn't his attorney tell him to clean up his act?

no kidding...he looks so sleezy (which he is) and along with that the body language same stance hands on hips like the court is wasting his precious time...he is so important.

If the State realizes that they are prosecuting the wrong person don't they have the ethical responsibility to stop the proceeds and refile the applicable charges against the right person/s?

It happened just recently, forget which one. But also OJ's trial.

*BBM* Thank you for saying that.

And :tyou: for being active, both here and out there in "real life".

She is evil--scary evil!

I'm confused.....why is the pros impeaching their own witness?

  • #519
she wasn't out to protect him--she was trying to save herself! JMO:moo:

She has to be careful not to turn back into the girl on the video under redirect, the jury will clearly be able to tell what's true and what's not.
