The info the defense was providing her was what she'd told them 2 days prior, why isn't Barth objecting to that?

  • #543
He's also pointing out similarities... yesterday defense inferred that the Grand Jury prosecutor lead her in her questions... State points out it was a reference back to what she'd said in her earlier narrative to the Grand Jury. Just as the defense team investigator lead her in questions we saw in the videotape yesterday from October 15th.

Indeed! No idea who is next.

I think the prosecutor is doing a great job of at least removing the idea that KM's account to SM's defense team is what really happened. I doubt any of the jurors would believe that LM agreed to that harness get-up and duct-tape over her mouth willingly.

wow...thank you for that...i bet if more online persona were available she could be impeached all day and night for years. I agree with comment above about lizzie's parents...I just don't know how you take this. so important for young men and women to understand how careful you need to be in today's world in what invites you accept and who you spend time with and giving out personal info to online and in person. I hate to say but as with so many young people I don't think her parents knew everything about her...there was something keeping her in that apartment that night and she stayed too long. So sad.

State: 'Have you ever been tied up like that with you mouth duct taped?'

kat's answer 'ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm'

Is he trying to impeach her so she can be charged with murder or made to do the full 21 years?

yes i was wondering the same...at this point I just don't think their decision is looking that great. I can't imagine having this creature walking the streets of the community that I am living in.

I think he is just trying to save his case---

State- the story you gave defense team was ridiculous wasn't it? Yes #SethMazzaglia

  • #558
Just before the break, the state was making the point that, despite having lived with Seth for nine months and being very sexually active, and talking about BDSM, she had never been tied up like the drawing she made for the defense team, never mind had her mouth sealed with duct tape as she'd told them Lizzi had been. And that on the two occasions women had come over and been involved, no bondage had occurred. HIs last question to Kat... "The story you gave the defense team was ridiculous wasn’t it?" Her answer, "yes".

Just got back from the AM session and I am not going to the afternoon one~

Noted today~ Seth had a large amount of family behind him. It appeared to us that he is just very respectful of the court because his mom (I think) said something to him and he said that he couldn't talk to anyone.

Her rant at the end was really good~ I think that if Barth had asked just one more question she would have really lost it but then again that memory of her ranting, changing personalities at the end left an impression on the jury.

There is no way in hell that the Pros can save this case, no way. The jury is sick of her and I really think that they have lost them. Her whole personality has changed now that the Pros are asking the questions. Suddenly her memory is fine and she has an answer for everything. You can tell that she has been coached and that she is pathological.

I couldn't get a feel for how everyone felt about the impeachment of her but IMO is was a huge mistake. You have just admitted that your client lies, repeatedly and you want the jury to believe your events?

Barth was making notes like crazy during her testimony and when he objected they were really good objections. We all know that the jury pays attention to them.

I have a feeling that a motion for a mistrial will be presented this afternoon. I may be wrong but that's the feeling I got.

I will be joining all of you this afternoon~ it looks like a lot more fun :)

I really wish you would e-mail your thoughts/knowledge to either Barth or the DA because if she gets off with nothing that would be a crime itself~

I was told today that it would be highly unusual for them to charge her with a crime now~ they would just give some BS story about how they couldn't do it etc. It was also brought up that now because of her, she has muddied the waters so bad about the crime that the truth will never be known.
