I really wish you would e-mail your thoughts/knowledge to either Barth or the DA because if she gets off with nothing that would be a crime itself~

I was told today that it would be highly unusual for them to charge her with a crime now~ they would just give some BS story about how they couldn't do it etc. It was also brought up that now because of her, she has muddied the waters so bad about the crime that the truth will never be known.

I'm sure both sides know about that site and others...she mentioned them herself on the stand together with her names on them...but she is not on trial here Seth is and I just want the case to deal with him and his part. For those of you in the community...what do people want...I mean certainly no one wants him to walk here do they? Certainly everyone agrees he had a role and I guess it is just how much of a role is in question. I am really curious as to who the defense will call?

Littleone..thanks for the court room insight!!!! Did her rant at the end when Barth called her out on not showing remorse so to speak about Lizzie..come off as not authentic??? That's how I read it from my computer. Do the jurors seem to "like" Barth?

The other day CC said they have something like a 100 people on their witness list... of course how many they actually call is another matter.

If Barth recrosses I think at the end of it he should hold up the statement she gave to the defense and say 'This is the true account of what happened that night, isn't it?' And when she says 'No' he should say 'You had no reason to lie then, but you do now, don't you?' and leave that with the jury, it would sum up her whole testimony and everything she did and said since then. But I rarely get my wishes. lol

Much thanks to Littleone48 for your first-hand court accounts, and Mom24 for all of your knowledge of the real Kat.

I think Barth was delighted with the rant...perfect ending to his cross. I would venture a guess that jury likes him (despite the cross going on for eternity). He comes across well to me and really conveyed how truly outraged they are at the lies that she gave them..he made the defense really sound like truth seekers and she foiled every attempt. I hate his client but rather like Barth.

Just got back from the AM session and I am not going to the afternoon one~

Noted today~ Seth had a large amount of family behind him. It appeared to us that he is just very respectful of the court because his mom (I think) said something to him and he said that he couldn't talk to anyone.

Her rant at the end was really good~ I think that if Barth had asked just one more question she would have really lost it but then again that memory of her ranting, changing personalities at the end left an impression on the jury.

There is no way in hell that the Pros can save this case, no way. The jury is sick of her and I really think that they have lost them. Her whole personality has changed now that the Pros are asking the questions. Suddenly her memory is fine and she has an answer for everything. You can tell that she has been coached and that she is pathological.

I couldn't get a feel for how everyone felt about the impeachment of her but IMO is was a huge mistake. You have just admitted that your client lies, repeatedly and you want the jury to believe your events?

Barth was making notes like crazy during her testimony and when he objected they were really good objections. We all know that the jury pays attention to them.

I have a feeling that a motion for a mistrial will be presented this afternoon. I may be wrong but that's the feeling I got.

I will be joining all of you this afternoon~ it looks like a lot more fun :)

BBM why mistrial? (sister called--she was in horrid mood--had to talk )

I also wish someone would just nail her on truth and fiction---"story" and lies--

I'm certainly no lawyer but I think the point has been made and no more questions are gonna change what the jury has taken away from Kat's testimony and maybe just maybe they will just throw it out and get down to trying to sort out what if any role Seth had. Oh how I wish he would take the stand but never will happen.

I, for one, hope there is no mistrial and that SM is found guilty. There is no doubt in my mind that he played a major role in LM's death. I'd rather see one guilty person found guilty than see two guilty people walk.

the only mistrial I see here is the missed trial that should have been as a result of them charging Kat with murder...no deal.

Not sure what the grounds would be? Don' t they usually do that after the prosecution rests?
