What I DO know this far in this trial for sure is.....Barth is an excellent attorney.

I can believe they like him...he is just more "into" the case than the state...I like him too.

OT a bit~ I used to always be on the Pro's side but then our County Attorney who spent years prosecuting Child Molester's...To him they were the scum of the earth who should not be allowed another breath....this was his passion and pulled everything out at a trial that he could to make sure they didn't see the light of day for many years...he helped enact several laws to protect children from these monsters....then he resigned, became a partner for a large law firm and guess what his first case was? A retired cop who molested kids for years! Made me sick to my stomach! I know the oath, the saying but I cannot fathom HOW you could go from Prosecuting the scum of the earth to representing them in the same courtroom?

So now I think it's all a game to them..you win some..you lose some...it's not about ethics, it's all about wins, loses and the almighty $$$..Defense lawyers are no more scum than the Pro's IMO...

Barth seems to have something up his sleeve...very pleased...talking with female atty. They both treat Seth as if he were not there...which frankly I don't think he is.

It's interesting. I know so many are impressed and think he's doing a great job, but I really LOATHE Barth. If I were on the jury, I'd cringe every time he opened his mouth. He's disrespectful, he's sarcastic, he's condescending, he implies witnesses are stupid when he inarticulately asks a question, and his tone of voice is just plain irritating. I also don't think he's as smart as as he thinks he is.

I get what you are saying, however, I think why he is impressive or likable is because he is passionate and seems to believe "the fight" so to speak for his client. When he is all the above characteristic's you say such a sarcastic and disrespectful etc....I can see the jury ok with it so to speak on the level that they themselves might be feeling the same. I usually am always on the prosecution side but with Barth....he has won me over to unveil things. I think that is what the role is for a defense attorney...to hold the prove for the State to make. In that regard Barth is doing it very well. JMO

I'll bet if he wins this one he will be laughing about being the "tarot card defender" years from now! You can't make some of this stuff up...and how about that state witness this morning. I would love to hear the deliberations on this one.

I KNOW, right? I have to see the part where the sex offender is all, "Oh man, why you guys gotta bring up my crime? My fiancee is sitting right there, bro. Can I at least have a candy bar?"

As I said earlier I just learned yesterday that a good friend of mine who is in deep deep doo doo has Barth as his attorney~ I am very pleased with that because with all of the charges he has against him he would not see his son graduate from HS or maybe even college~

One other note about Barth is that he will not tell his client to take a plea deal if he feels he can win a case or get them less time~

I haven't been able to catch up with your insights today unfortunately. I even see 911 twitter responses. Exciting day of testimony. Mom McD was to be able to humanize KM…IMO, which I was surprised to hear. She held up very well and I felt she was forthcoming and honest. I can't imagine as a mom what she went through. Cant believe I'd be so diplomatic in the months before October 2012, but I don't have a daughter and have not walked in her shoes. were back on!

I would love to see a tacky commercial playing during People's Court with tarot cards pointing the criminals to Barth for representation.

I'm glad your friend will have good representation... I guess what bothers me about Barth's presentation is that it seems immature and unprofessional to me. But hey, I would be the first to admit that I would not be a typical juror in all likelihood, and if it works for his clients, I can't really blame him.

why do these witnesses question that they said something when they know Barth has the transcript and will show them. Some deny saying things and of course he is going to get it out and show them? Why not just agree.

Yep, I think rude behavior which some may feel Barth has shown to witnesses will be excused by the jury if they themselves are somewhat outraged...such as most felt with KM's testimony. If I lived in NH and ever got in trouble...I would hire him.
