IMO it was to show how much Kat changed after meeting him.
All communication stopped etc.
Also that he was controlling.

Well you came out flying and nailed it with the enabler diagnosis IMO. Wonder if she let her daughter get between her and her husband?

On the cross-exam -- What it showed to me was that KM was apparently lying when she was talking about what was said between, & her impressions of, her mother and her father. She told LE this and that, but her mom denied ever hearing it.

I'm not so sure what the State got out of it, if anything.

If i were km mom I would def reach out.
Can't even begin to imagine how I'd react if I were lm's parents.
I'd like to think I'd be gracious though....I mean its not her fault and she is obviously hurting too.

I would reach out with sincere sorrowfulness.

If it were the opposite I hope I would react with grace and forgiveness.

I think they were trying to show how controlling he was over Kat. Unfortunately, once again the defense is un-doing anything the state did. Trying to show that Seth wasn't wanting confrontations, or was controlling. :sigh:

HONESTLY

If I were kat's mom I would apologize for what happened to their daughter. I'd be sorry that my girl was involved.

I hold people accountable when they reach adulthood. Unless the parents were monsters I'd accept the apology.
