WTF??? He belongs to not a single relevant professional organization? I'm not even a practicing scientist anymore and I belong to a bunch of scientific ones!

Barth is not very good at this - or at least he is better in cross examination

:floorlaugh: Coroner the defense hired. " Yes, I'm paid and if you like my opinion it goes further" :floorlaugh: expert shopping is OUT THERE for all to see and on the record :floorlaugh:

What BS. When you are contacted as an expert witness, you are specifically asked if you "think" you could find that _____. I guess you could end up with an adverse opinion, but the attorneys make it pretty clear what they are looking for, and everyone I know who is asked the question says "no" if they are pretty sure they won't come back with the "right" answer. You would rarely get asked again if you didn't operate that way.

Minor4th, is it discoverable if a consultant finds something adverse to the defense's case?

that seems impossible to me. just by being in that profession you are a member of three or four right out of the box...I wonder if there is a reason...did he get sanctioned or something? I can't imagine defense putting him on. Something is off.

Just because ligature strangulation isn't extremely common doesn't mean it never happens. I can see these two, seth and kat, enjoying something along those lines. To play with the person. Bring the person to the edge of death and then release the hold and repeat until one of them screwed up and killed Lizzi.

Anyone else have some lag happening with WS?

Or just me ? :tantrum:

Looks like we're going to get the controversial Dr Kanfer today, really ligature strangulation is rare..........appears pretty common in the cases on CI Discovery murder cases
