Why would a hearse arrive? I don't remember seeing that before in missing persons/body found investigations...isn't it always the medical examiner who removes the body and takes it to the ME's office??

Just guessing, but if it's not a matter of local protocol, maybe it's instead on account of a local courtesy. Did I read this is unfolding in a relatively small, close-knit community? That would make sense to me.

I wonder if she had a passenger? :waitasec:

I was wondering that, too, but they have a search warrant they are executing on another car. Of course, that doesn't rule out a passenger. I wouldn't be surprised if LE has the perp in their sights.

Does anyone want me to do a 6:30 presser recap, or is everyone planning on just watching it/streaming it online themselves?

Recaps are always great. Plus useful later as we are dissecting what was said.

I'll be watching myself, Kaylynn, but if you're up to it, it might be a good thread reference. :) And you do such a great job at recaps. :)

Yes, Kaylynn, a recap would be great!! Thank you! (if it's not too much trouble and you have time...)

i've got fox 25 on here, i'll see if i can back up Kaylynn with some notes.

I'd prefer a diff station though, going to see if 7 or 4 are carrying it. :)

That was my reaction too... why a hearse? It's the coroner van/SUV or an ambulance.

In Skagit county when the mass murder happened they used hearses to transport the 6 bodies to another ME's office better equipped to deal with 6 autopsies. But other than that and a few isolated cases, I don't know of any.

It appears too that some coroners may actually have a hearse instead of a van, or SUV.

I also think it being quite a small area may be a factor too. The funeral home comes to get someone who dies at home of natural causes. So if that is the majority of their deaths... I can see not wanting to have the expense of a separate vehicle for your one homicide in 10 years or whatever.

And... it's odd I didn't know this. My family owns a funeral home and my Dad worked for one. So I should kinda know these things. :innocent:

I'm on WCSH6 and have a black screen. I guess I'm just used to the chatter beforehand with the Anthony circus. Hopefully it will come up soon...

I've got live stream for Boston channel 7, but it doesn't say if they'll carry it or not. I'll try 6 too.

Ok they just said they'd stream it online. So here I'll sit. :)

Locals, anyone know where Randy Price went after he left channel 7? I loved him. All the anchors now are flashy young guys and girls lol. Randy was so classy!

(we gave up cable, and don't have the hookup for getting local channels anymore, so I am out of the loop on local stations!)

Yeah, I'm getting a black screen as well...hopefully it starts streaming soon.

It is Duck Pond. Suspicious death. Going to Concord.

:(

My deepest sympathies to Krista's friends and family, especially her beloved daughter.

Poor, poor little baby....I am soso sorry. Praying that the perp is caught and punished.
