Krista Dittmeyer Update: Police are back at the pond where Krista Dittmeyer's body was found yesterday. The area is once again blocked off, and the New Hampshire attorney general's office is at the scene. Still no word from the AG on the cause of Dittmeyer's death.

Until it is known if Krista had been a victim of a sexual assault I hope they are also keeping close tabs on any females who may have had a beef with Krista.

I'm not going to guess at this time. Though I do think it is highly suspicious. Midnight in the woods? Brother of one of the POI's? Body later located at a pond that LE had previously dismissed?

LE said just day before yesterday that they didn't want private searches, because it might destroy evidence. LE usually will tell victims family they don't want them on searches, because they could taint any evidence found and it could implicate them in the crime.

LOL I bet these two have had a rough time of it the last two nights!

According to the Mt. Washington Valley radio station's web site, the police officer talked to RA and CP on Skimobile Rd. at Cranmore. They told him they were searching and looking for a fort. The men said they'd found a Guess flip flop, which was the brand Krista's roommate said she was wearing. They left it where it was. The post says that it's not clear if police recovered a flip flop or whether it is related.

CP was arrested on an open warrant, not for anything he did or had on him on Tuesday night. He was released on bail.

The post is "TUESDAY NIGHT INCIDENT MAY HAVE PROMPTED WEDNESDAY SEARCH AT CRANMORE." Here's the link: http://www.wmwv.com/?p=3825

This is a little different:

Two people to do so were Corey Poland, 22, and Richard Acker, 22. According to the Conway police log, they called police to say they had found a Guess flip flop in the woods around the Cranmore area, where they had done a search of their own. They had hiked up the mountain.

They said Dittmeyer's roommate told them Dittmeyer was wearing Guess flip flops the day she disappeared. They said they left the flip flop where they found it.

When reached by phone, Poland would not comment, but someone using his cell phone called back right away and complained that the Conway Police had not done a thorough job in their initial search. When asked for his name, he hung up.

So, IMO, those are very different statements than what is being reported by CDS. Being caught in the woods and arrested and calling in that they have her flip flop are very, very different. I would like to read the log for myself. A person on CDS FB is saying they heard this on the scanner......if that is true, I can't see how the first report is accurate.

FWIW: Zooming in on the photo of her car from the police flyer shows that the passenger side window was rolled down several inches and I do not see any apparent damage to her vehicle. I assume the child would be on the passenger side in the back seat but I guess it is personal preference as to which side of the car a person puts the child seat. So the drivers side door was "ajar" and the passenger side window was rolled down.

If it is true that she was bound with duct tape, it would lead me to believe it was likely she was taken somewhere near her home. In the woods with two men, they wouldn't have needed to keep her as controlled and quiet as they would have in a vehicle on the trip there. Two men should have been able to do it. So duct tape shouldn't have been needed. However in a car trip, they would have needed to keep her quiet and controlled so the driver could drive.

If two were involved, it would also solve the problem of if she was taken there, how did they leave? If two were there, one drove each car.

I feel so sad and angry right now. Evil, evil people.

I wonder why the door was left open like that and not the window? Did the subject think the child could get out of the carseat and wonder away.

:rose: RIP Krista :rose:

I mentioned this a thread or two back, but I think that whoever left it open, whether it was Krista or the perp, it was probably in an attempt to not *really* feel like they were leaving the child. I can see doing that if I got out of the car to run to the mailbox or something.

I don't know, I think there might really be a fort in the woods (ducking!). These guys could have just said that they were looking for Krista or clues, why throw the fort into the mix? It may be pure bs, but I won't be shocked if a fort is discovered. This location may be familiar to all of them; perhaps somewhere they hung out, or people they know hung out and mentioned a fort. I think the location may hold some significance to the killer(s) and/or the victim. Not discounting the story told by the 2 men in its entirety yet. Also, curious to learn more about whether the 2 guys were alone and stopped by police, or if they were searching (possibly with others) and called the police to the scene.

In any event, it does seem personal. Most likely, Krista was killed because of her associations, imo. It could be she was targeted by someone because of her closeness to certain individuals, or targeted by those very individuals with whom she was formerly close. Hopefully the details will come together quickly so her family doesn't have to wonder endlessly and justice can be served...

I'm thinking the autopsy may be done by now. Wonder if they will release the results and if it will be today?

With the body recovered from the pond I'm thinking the body had to be by the shoreline in plain sight
L or the killer(s) would to have had to go into the water to get it in deeper or two could have heaved it into deeper water. I also wonder where the flip flop was found in corrolation to her vehicle and the pond.

HLN just now stated divers found her; so it would have to have been in deeper water.

Just a thought....but if someone is running from harm...would a thought be to run into cold water...hoping the perp would not follow? Could they tell if there was hyperthermia?

Strange thought....I know.

I am starting to wonder about these two stopped for questioning near Midnight on Tuesday.....were they truly looking for her or going there to conceal something else that might be in those woods something that perhaps Krista knew was in those woods as well that could be information or evidence of something else. IMO I believe someone connected to the Ex boyfriend is the perp here. Not saying the ex had anything to do with it, but I believe someone in his circle did. IMO

I agree KathyJ. If they weren't there searching out of concern, it would take something significant at the crime scene for them to place themselves there the day after the car and the baby were discovered. Much more to this story, imo...

Is there any indication that her and her ex were having problems (except for his recent residence)? Living in the same apartment, I'm pretty sure she had to know what was going on? Did she testify against him?

I have heard conflicting reports on if she and her ex got along. Some say they broke up when he went to Jail others say they are on friendly terms and she has brought the baby to see him on visits but not necessarily still together. No where have I heard that there was trouble between the two or anything like that or past stories of problems with them. That may come out later who knows. Those two guys were up there for some reason and IMO it wasn't to search for her.
