So no outward signs of injury. Wonder where the blood came from? Possibly the perp?

Because LE works tirelessly to put these scum behind bars...time and time again only to see them get out early or have some shady attorney get legit evidence tossed out so they can walk. I say build more prisons. It can't cost any more than this revolving door "justice" system we have in place now. Lets limit the time on death row for executions to send a message loud and clear..women and children are valuable assets to our society and we will not tolerate their abuse and murder. Period. I'm sick to death of criminals with 6 pages of felonies walking the streets and I'm even more sick of perverts who harm children. One strike and you're out on that IMO.

I didn't read anything about water in the lungs either, or at least they're not saying. I can't imagine she was drugged up and still able to drive her car, unless she wasn't the one that drove it there.

I agree. I was watching one of those true crime shows and a guy that molested his neice at a family gathering....was only sentenced to four years. :sick:

Want to share what I know of forts and ski mountains. Reports say the 2 guys in the woods were looking for a fort and went up the mountain.

From my years working at ski resorts I know some people build forts as party huts. They are called 420 huts, smoke cabins etc.. Its a place for party friendly people to stop during a run and smoke marijuana or drink a few beers together. They are used in summer time as well for mountain bike friendly resorts. Not saying this is what it is, but it fits the bill considering the location and description.

As for the gents being out there, whos to say. On one hand I think if my sister in law was missing I would be out there searching as well. On the other hand it looks suspicious. As far as the time, well I got the impression they were leaving not arriving at the time of questioning. It takes a while to hike a mountain, especially if you don't know where your going and your taking the hard way in the dark after work.

The circumstances and location make me wonder if this is a drop point for drugs. How she ended up in the water is beyond me. Perhaps she sampled the product on the way down. Perhaps said product was bad. Perhaps the toxicology report will tell more. Perhaps she met up with someone on the trail that knew of the drop location and wanted her product, then pushed her in the frigid water or worse. Lots of possibilities in this case

THE BLOOD could be old from a cut finger a month ago. There is no way of knowing. It could be from a perp who after killing her searched her car and found the baby. Could be she bonked him in the nose or cut him while fighting for her life. who knows

None of the above reasoning would help in the fact that the police were so sure she was forced from the car though.

Could she have walked on the surface to get something and fell through the ice? I keep wondering why she was discovered in the middle of the pond. What about her clothes and shoes? Was she fully clothed? Her death sounds very very suspicious but I wonder if it could be accidental somehow?

What can cause death and not show on inital autopsy? Three that I can think of are natural causes, drug OD and smothering. Sometimes compression smothering can occur without showing, but usually a bone will break somewhere. Stranguling without breaking a bone can happen, often does happen. Drug injection can be done and the needle site can be missed.

I notice they aren't discussing any non-lethal injuries. And sometimes it can take a day or two for bruising to show up on a corpse. I don't know the effect that cold would have on the delayed bruising. I would think that it stop it.

Did she have asthma? If/Where was the duct tape found on her?

Did they say what the manner of death is going to be? Homicide or undetermined? Guess that might not be mentioned until after the tox comes back.

That's right! If the autopsy doesn't reveal water in the lungs, that means she was likely dead before she was in the pond.

Young said she could not comment on the police report. She said she doesn't anticipate any updates on the case until the toxicology report comes in.

I guess my prediction that there would be an arrest within 48 hrs was optimistic. Doesn't sound like she is anticipating an arrest any time soon.

If she was dead before she went into the water, it would lead one to think foul play, but I guess it depends on what, if anything, is found in her system. I suppose it is possible she took some drugs and died on land and her body tipped over into the pond...but that hardly seems likely.

It crossed my mind maybe she was running from someone, went into the water either to hide or hoping the pursuer wouldn't follow her in, waited, and possibly succumbed to hypothermia. ??? Possible.

Sounding more like drug OD really could be the cause. Friends worried about a drug conviction may have hid her body in the pond rather than calling 911. They care about the baby and attempted to make sure she was found relatively quickly. Those same friends could have been up there "looking" for her in order to make sure the police made a more detailed search of the area after having missed her body the first time around. They didn't want the family in anguish forever, but also didn't want to take responsibility for the death when it happened.

I am starting to wonder about these two stopped for questioning near Midnight on Tuesday.....were they truly looking for her or going there to conceal something else that might be in those woods something that perhaps Krista knew was in those woods as well that could be information or evidence of something else. IMO I believe someone connected to the Ex boyfriend is the perp here. Not saying the ex had anything to do with it, but I believe someone in his circle did. IMO

My thinking is why wait 4 days before going back in the woods......

If the toxicology does not show anything then we may be looking at another undetermined... like Jodi Powers. If they can't find a cause of death now... one isn't likely to appear if the toxicology comes back clean.

Hopefully it won't be undetermined since Krista was found in less than a week while Jodi was missing for a month before she was found.

Early reports indicated blood was found in the car. But then the LE in charge of the investigation didn't confirm or deny, he just pointed out that the person who stated there was blood wasn't part of the investigation. I think he was LE, just from another dept.
