Like Krista's Mom didn't have enough to deal with, her brother also died in July.

What a very sad case. It's just such a shame that Krista chose that lifestyle. While still a victim of a horrendous crime, her lifestyle choice directly lead to her death and her precious child now has to live without a her birth mother, while the father sits in jail due to a drug crime. Her poor baby daughter, her poor family.

And the guy that was suppose to be her protector. He's only been charged with robbery? Unreal.

Michael Petelis will spend decades in prison after pleading guilty in Carroll County Superior Court to accomplice to second-degree murder for his role in the death of Portland resident Krista Dittmeyer in April of 2011. Prosecutors say Anthony Papile, Trevor Ferguson and Petelis were planning to rob the 20-year-old Dittmeyer, but Papile killed her in the process...

Judge Philip Mangones sentenced Petelis, now 30, to 35 years to life in state prison.
