I know everyone reacts and feels differently and in reality I've no idea how I react in such terrible circumstances...but I do find the comment odd regards the family wanting privacy around the cause of death ... maybe this relates to them looking further at the handling of the investigation

I’m so glad the family have found the strength to release this statement and now anyone following social media accounts and questioning their validity can be in no doubt. I’m pleased that they have provided a trusted contact for information to be sent to.

Just thinking out loud ... As the police knew days before Noah was found exactly where he entered the woods behind the houses wouldn't the drain have been a very obvious search priority... I know they said they were aware of the drain for a while but it was difficult due to flooding..I do wonder if the family are questioning the length of time it took to find him ... I hope this is not the case as the work the search teams do is amazing

It sounded like they had been in the drain pretty much the whole time. When Noah was found, they said that even though they were searching the drain, it had taken them so long to locate him because it was a kilometre long, very difficult conditions to search, and he was found almost at the far end

I would love to hear from someone who has insight into the drains, particularly the tunnel element of it. Is it always filled with water or would there be air pockets, what size is it, what’s the environment like? And is that kilometre all the same type of terrain or are parts horizontal/ vertical? Any other exits along the way etc? Also, how sound proof are they? I remember early reports saying someone heard crying around midnight. Would you be able to hear noise from above ground?

So much of what we know that is verified by LE indicates to me that he was experiencing real sensory overload or hallucinations for want of a better word. He was experiencing some sort of tactile or temperature aberration that cause him to take off all his clothes. He may have been experiencing some sort of auditory and visual sensitivities that caused him to try and find a dark, damp area away from street noise. He must have been disoriented to have continued so far back into the drain system that searchers had a hard time finding him, he may have become lost, but what caused him to try to find safety and relief in a drainage system?

I'm clueless about the drainage system too. I had thought he may have been swept along the whole system, rather than have ventured. Depending on the depth and flow of water, which I know nothing about

I agree ...and could well have been the case .. but statements made can also be quite carefully worded..ie it doesn't actually say that.
To go into detail of how difficult it was to search the terrain etc almost seems "defensive" ..as if they were expecting people to question the timeframe ...rightly or wrongly
