He was my neighbor before he was admitted into the nursing facility. I had to take care of his cats for months and his son never answered anybody’s calls or texts back. Didn’t provide food or water to the cats either.
Cats are in a safe place now though.

his house is definitely a freaky place to be in...
Why would his son contact you back if you are a complete stranger to him. Not to mention, maybe his son has absolutely nothing to do with LD… that might be a thought…

Today is the anniversary of my sister being labeled as a missing person. It's been 36 years and I know she is no longer in this physical. I carry her in my heart and thoughts everyday. Here is a photo of her when she was pregnant. She was a beautiful soul and will always be 34 years old.

I came across this missing person case via another case on WS, and I searched but could not find an obituary for the husband, who someone had posted about being in a home for the elderly and wasn't expected to live much longer. That was several years ago, but looked today without success online in obituaries. However, I did come across this article from 1987 re. Rachelle, not sure if it was posted yet. It depends on which son you're talking about.

…Rachelle’s mother and stepfather last spoke to Rachelle at about 7:30 am on Saturday. She asked for her stepfather to come down as that she and her husband were having issues. Her stepfather was ill so in turn she called her father whom came down that morning. Her father spent the night and left the following day by all his accounts Rachelle was in good spirits.

Rachelle’s sister had called the house and was told by her brother in law Rachelle’s was not home. The next day her sister called again, and it was odd her brother in law was home from work. He explained that when they awoke on Monday Rachelle was gone. Rachelle’s sister became concerned and contacted police on April 22nd, 1986.
I have some timeline questions about this section:

That Sunday was April 20, 1986, not the 21st.

So, it looks like her father stayed over Saturday night, left Sunday morning, Louis claims Monday morning he woke up and she was gone. Sister called later that day and then reports her missing Tuesday, April 22, 1986. Is that accurate?
