BARNEGAT, NJ — On National Missing Children's Day (May 25), the New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), and the New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit are joining together to urge residents to be on the lookout for local missing youth.
In Barnegat, that's 17-year-old Angelica Santos Escobar, who's been missing since Jan. 29, 2023, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
Santos Escobar is a Hispanic girl with black hair and brown eyes. She is 5'8" and weighs 150 pounds.
No details were shared about where she might have been headed or who she may be with.
Anyone with information on Santos Escobar's location is asked to call 911, State Police at 1 (609) 963-6900 or Barnegat police at 1 (609) 698-5000.
