I hope that all tenants demand that management provide better security.[/QUOTE

Sent an email to the manager. She replied there are no cameras in the development and no plans to install any.

Its very concerning that LE doesn't seem to be making much progress here. Could the killer have covered his/her tracks that well? Is it perhaps a random attack with no real connection to Carolyn? That seems unlikely, but stranger things have happened I guess.

Just checking in, hoping of course for news.

To me there has to be forensic/DNA evidence here but whether it will match anyone in a database is the question I guess. I am just repeating myself but I still find it hard to believe someone did not see or know something, nor see someone come or go--they noticed her coming home for lunch or at least someone did. Odd.

Very upsetting to check on here after 5 days and see the latest reports. Missymom- thank you again for posting here and providing resident info. I know how scary and upsetting it must have been to read that letter from Management. I was really hoping police gathered info from her phone/computer to find out why she went home that day for lunch. The earlier reports said that the killer was waiting at her apartment. So how did they know that? And now they have no suspects? My thoughts went to she purchased something through Craigslist or Facebook and the seller offered to drop it off at her apartment at lunchtime...Neighbor heard furniture being moved. Or another delivery person. But surely LE would have been able to find out any communication she had with someone that day. Then I though of course someone she was dating or an ex. But now that seems less likely.

My mind goes to a maintenance worker or landscaper. And if she was called home- do they have any record who called her at work that day. Someone could have had her work number and they used a cell phone that can't be traced to get her to come home.

So crazy to think in broad daylight the killer got away with this. Then again maybe they figured at lunchtime on a weekday most people are at work or out, so easier for them to get away-than at night or early morning. Less suspicious leaving the lot at that time, less chance of anything being heard. (then again neighbors did hear but sadly did nothing).

I find it a bit odd that news never reported how she was killed? (I assume not shot since gunshot would have been heard).

What a shame management says they still will not put in cameras. Makes me think also of a worker who knew damn well cameras were not installed anywhere in the complex or lot.

Keep staying safe, MissyMom. Praying for an arrest soon. Hopefully they DO know a lot more than they are saying.

Federal authorities have joined in working to solve Hunters Glen murder

This was posted today. Same info basically but they say she was drawn home & was attacked once she entered her apartment. Also confirm that neighbors did not call the police when they heard screams & furniture moving.
Just baffling why they can’t find out who it was that drew her home. The person had to make contact with her somehow.

Never heard it mentioned, but is it possible a message came into her office somehow and then maybe a coworker delivered to her verbally?
And how did this person have access to her apartment and yet was never seen? Is there some other way into these apartments, like ac vents or overhead crawl space? I’m reaching I know. But, I’m so torn on a theory here.

I am not sure if this will be any aid in convincing them to put in more security but this case, 30 yrs ago also occurred at the complex. So of the 3 murders in Plainsboro, 2 happened in the complex, if indeed I have my information correct.

Not meaning to scare, just trying to provide more muscle to sway them to provide cameras. Be safe and stay aware!
Note: I am definitely Not saying they are related, they did catch this guy (and the other person suspected passed away a few years ago) IMOs of course.
I will try to dig around to see if I see anything else relevant to this. Hope it helps a bit at least!

I still do not understand that, I get that people do not get involved sometimes nor know if they should interfere and call 911, but it tends to make me more suspicious of neighbors or someone in the complex. If drawn home, one would think forensics and her cell phone would possibly be the answer...

I still can't get over someone (or someones) noted that she came home for lunch but someone (or someones) never saw another person enter nor leave her apartment or the building, etc.

Not trying to knock anyone but it is a bit hard to understand. Frustrated I guess.

Seriously? What are the odds of that? Low number of cases but a high percentage then of those cases. Two of three murders happened then in all of those decades?

Wow.

Has her having made plans to meet someone at home beforehand been rules out? So that a call would not have been needed?

Nothing has been confirmed or ruled out. Not even cause of death has been released. It's possible for sure, but then she didn't mention a word to anyone about it when she left to go home for lunch? And still, neighbors saw her coming home for lunch but did not see anyone else? If she was attacked as she entered her apartment, someone was either already in there or right behind her. This only works, in my wild imagination, for "the invisible man."

Wow! I had no idea that took place in 1985. As long as I’ve lived in Plainsboro, no one has ever talked about that. I was living in Florida at that time. Back in the 1980s, Plainsboro only had a population of around 5,000 or so and now the population is around 23,000.

Unfortunately, I don’t think this will convince the management company to install cameras. If they are not convinced by a murder that took place two weeks ago, I doubt something that took place 34 yrs ago will convince them. Thanks for posting that information.

Why do you think the police are keeping quiet about how Carolyn was killed?

No expert but in most cases, the reason always given is to rule out false confessions, etc. Or if someone claims to know from the killer confessing to them, only the killer could know the details so they judge from there if the person knows for real from the killer, etc. (could be just after a reward or something I guess and so it is to verify they must have real inside knowledge). Or if LE interviews the killer but is not sure he is the killer but he slips with a detail in the interview that was never in the news at any time, how did he know that?

It seems like the cause of death is never shared, the best you might get is gunshot with no detail on type of gun, etc. or where the victim was hit by a bullet or bullets...

Jmo though based on cases followed what the reasons given are.

That’s eerie. Both women killed @ Hunters Glen in June (10, 15), both discovered when they did not show up at work. Maybe if a large number of tenants band together to request the security cameras, petition, it will make a bigger impact.
