I think the reason no one is picking it up is as a society we ve been conditioned to assume anything satanic related is just “ satanic panic” , you see it time and time again the second someone brings something like that up everyone’s brains just go straight to “satanic panic” or “Quaon/ pizzagate”. Now sure you can find plenty of cases from the 80s and 90s that truely were “satanic panic “ but you find plenty examples over the years of real actual satanic practicing with plenty of serial killers ,religious group etc… most people aren’t aware True Detective season 1 is based off something that really happened in the directors home town, a “ Christian church” that was doing the exact kind of rituals Courtney is describing , parents and others in the church abusing kids just horrific stuff.
I just wish people would keep an open mind because every religion to ever exist has had radical elements, or people who use religion to justify their own horrible actions and satanism is no different. There are real cases of abuse that have been completely written off as satanic panic almost immediately but have situations like that poor pastor in Arizona that was recently crucified and 75 percent of the comments were assuming this man had done something horrible and that’s why he was killed until the killer was arrested and proved it was just another psycho killing and using religion as a cover for their evil
Even if nothing happens in a legal sense or even if this is another example of Satanic panic I hope Courtney can get the help she needs to live a full healthy life because this woman definitely has experienced some terrible trauma cult related or not
