"the remains appear to have been in the area for more then a year"

"The resident who discovered the skeletal remains last night had stopped his car and spotted a human skull about 20 feet from the road."

"Possibly dead a year, possibly several years."

"Some yellow hair was found near the bones."

"A woman's ring was found near the site."

"My guess is the body was just laid there on the surface."

"The remains were only found 30 feet from the road."

"The victims body probably could not have been seen seen from the road if she died during the summer, because it would have been hidden behind very heavy foliage."
There are things in here that make me wonder about Edna Faye McIntyre (also used surname Droysen, and some think she may have been married)

Missing from Chicago Feb 1972. 17 yo, 5'3" 125lbs, she had blue eyes, long blonde hair, and they're mentioning the "yellow" hair for the Doe. The ring near the Doe, "E.W." Edna could be the "E," the "W" could have been a romantic interest, maybe it's an engagement ring, used as a wedding ring, who knows? The "several years" they're mentioning in the article -- that sounds pretty open, meaning the death could have occurred several (maybe many?) years prior to this Doe being discovered. Edna was wearing a white fur coat and desert boots. When I saw the "white fur coat," I wondered is it real or faux? If real (?), maybe she had some funds, or friends did, and that might mean young as they were, someone had a car.

Geography makes it unlikely it's Edna, but I still wonder on that.

I would still send this in. The hair, age, build, and time period fit well. The location is wide off but there have been plenty of identified Does that were found a long way from home.
