The hideaway tavern has a fb page with comments re: Lance but I don't think I am allowed to post it here?

I'm not sure about posting it here but man, talk about conflicting statements! All over in there.

He left them the night of the incident when he disappeared, no he def would not be missing for this court date, it was regarding child support for his daughter whom he loves to death. The last known interaction with him was with the police when they told him to just go home.

I am so very sorry that you are going through this, Jessica. I saw a few pictures of Lance with a very pretty little girl on his FB page. I'm sure that's his daughter -your niece- because she looks just like him. They have the same eyes.

I read in one of the published articles that Lance "suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and battles severe depression," and I am so sorry to hear that. I've suffered from both of those conditions pretty much all my life (with the PTSD, only in the last ten years or so, since I didn't remember the events that led to the trauma for over 20 years; I truly believe that was my/my brain's way of trying to protect myself). How was Lance doing in the days preceding his disappearance? This time of year can be particularly difficult for some people. Have you checked to see if he is at any of the area hospitals?

Will be thinking of you, as well as Lance.

Greetings,

We expect foul play, we think someone in a car picked him up. We talked to all his friends in the area and cops went door to door to check peoples sheds and trailers. The comments regarding the hideaway taverns facebook page are about him. I talked to his friend Joey who also changed his story. He claims to not have been there that night, yet in those comments suggests that he was. He says he was just relaying what a bartender there told him. The bartender there is claimed to be a friend of Lances and is the one who let him in the bar that night to begin with. The info about the woods was garbage and untrue proven by the video footage. We have checked all hospitals as well as morgues and nothing found. I even had a few nurses msg me personally to confirm their John Does were not him by tattoos. The week prior to him being gone he was attending AA meetings and reached out to all family and friends to send him their address so we can write them letters during this recovery process. He spent the weekend of Thanksgiving with our Mom in Philly and even sent us siblings funny ha ha videos of him and my Mom together.

Thinking, thinking, thinking. Would the bar staff, who know Lance on whatever level, have "escorted him out" without his jacket and phone? Was it cold out? What time was this verified to be? Who could have picked him up, and why. Was he said to be quite inebriated that night by a believable source? Would a stranger pick up a bloody and possibly inebriated man in the night? Did the person who Lance's conflict was with know him?

Did he communicate with an AA sponsor?

Yes it's cold out, its New Jersey in Dec 30-40 degree weather. Police verified he left the bar around 930-1000. Police verify he was drunk when he was escorted out. We dont think it was a stranger who picked him up. The guy he fought with is a local to the bar and a usual just like my brother. Everyone there knows my brother.

If J is changing his story, he knows what happened.

LE is somewhat responsible for letting him walk away intoxicated and injured.

I really wish bars would call or have a person employed by the. Bar to drive these ppl home. I don't think it right. To just put them out and send them on their merry way.
If they are drunk is it the bartenders fault.... if he let's them drive drunk and they hit someone isn't the bar responsible?
If something happened to this young man I think they need to also hold the bar responsible this happens far to often just not right.
Call someone Please.
Ok done my rant.

Did the person he got into a fight with at the bar have a car there?

I am his sister, here is what I can tell you. The original story given by roommates was false.. they changed their story...
Dec 2nd, Lance went to the Hide-A-Way Tavern. He got into a fight there for calling someone a Pu$$y, he was escorted out by bar staff and was then hit by the person he called the name in the face and got a bloody nose. Cops were called, he refused medical treatment. The video footage shows he walked toward the road NOT the woods. He was never seen again from here. His phone and jacket were left at the bar so they are of no help the police have these. No one at the bar is talking. Foul play is expected as he would not just disappear like this. He just paid his rent and was scheduled for court the following Monday (no he would not skip out). it's been 11 days. Even though the police report was made and a missing person report was done Clementon Police took days to even dispatch out a K9 unit so the scent is gone no trace. Search and rescue went out along with deep divers and searched the woods and lake nearest the bar with no luck. They went door to door in the area to check sheds and RVs. That is all we have.

People don't just vanish into thin air. Someone hurt him or is holding him.

Really hope you figure out who is lying.

Good thing you did screen shots because it looks like a lot was deleted. Hideaway Tavern

Forgive me please JessicaH, but is there any chance that Lance could be laying low on a bender somewhere. I'm so sorry to ask that question.

I take this as you are 100% confident he is not in the nearby wooded area or water? Did LE search that pond with sonar? What about Bottom Lake and Silver Lake?

He is not holding up somewhere.. he was def either convinced to get into a car or forced into one.. only explanation..

JessicaH - We are a USMC family too and I've been following the news on your brother and hoping he was going to pop up somewhere at a friend's house or something. I am terribly sorry that you and your family are going through this.

I'm wondering about the idea of hypothermia affecting him and his judgement that night after he left the bar. My understanding is that alcohol will hasten the effects of hypothermia.

His walk should have been like 10 minutes. If he cooled off a bit waiting for the PD prior to leaving the bar, he may have had some irrational behavior that comes with lower body temps. People tend to take their clothes off and do odd things like that. Maybe that type of behavior took him off his normal route home.

On the map there appears to be a few pools along his route. I'm hoping they were checked as well as any empty structures.

Hypothermia is such a good point. That will affect the most stable of beings.

Also could have taken him well off the expected route.

We absolutely think woods or water is possible. We have mixed stories.. search and rescue did NOT get into the water and search for him in the lakes like we were told before. We want them to search bottom lake and silver lake
