The Bergen County prosecutor's office says it is investigating a death at the house in Fair Lawn. Property records show Jenkins has lived at the house the last two years. The prosecutor's office says the dead man isn't the house's owner. His identity wasn't immediately released. The office didn't say where Jenkins was when the death occurred.

The body of a man found Tuesday in the New Jersey home of New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins has been identified as that of Roosevelt Rene, a 25-year-old music producer who is described as a Jenkins family friend.

Jenkins reportedly has been in Florida, where he is from, since the Giants minicamp ended earlier this month. It is not clear how Rene, who produced under the name Trypps Beatz, died and an autopsy is pending by the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s office. Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network reported that police are investigating the death at the Fair Lawn, N.J., home as a “possible strangulation/suffocation.”

The brother of New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins was arrested in upstate New York eight hours before a body was discovered in the NFL player's home, and now, Williams Jenkins is considered a person of interest who will be brought back to New Jersey for questioning.

Ontario County District Attorney James Ritts says William Jenkins was arrested just before 2 a.m. Tuesday on a parole violation out of Bergen County.
