Maybe I'm mixing my people up, but IIRC he passed away a few years back and was terminally ill when the Vanished episode came out.I’m wondering if the FBI ever went back to question the male prostitute that stated he saw a video of Mark being tortured years ago? That was one thing that seemed pretty far fetched to just be a made up story by the male prostitute. From all of the hundreds of video tapes that were found seems odd that all were of consenting adults.
Mark Himebaugh reminds me a bit of Nicholas Barclay (à la Imposter doc). Angry, rebellious boys who didn’t have many people looking out for them. Ideal for an opportunistic kidnapper to grab him in the chaos of a brush fire. Poor buddy.
From where are you forming this opinion about his personality? It just isn't my impression.
I don't know that the "village looking out for all of the kids" idea was ever really the way it was anywhere, unfortunately. I wish it was.
Uh, The Charley Project specifically refers to Mark as having been emotionally disturbed and prone to angry outbursts
I grew up seeing his missing poster everywhere. I lived in PA and went to the beach in Jersey so his abduction was kind of local for me. The pedo that may have kidnapped him was in PA. I tried writing to him and Butcavage blocked me.Mark Himebaugh reminds me a bit of Nicholas Barclay (à la Imposter doc). Angry, rebellious boys who didn’t have many people looking out for them. What?? His father videotaped a young girl getting raped. Is this for real?In the book they describe Marks dad filming scenes with Mark and his girlfriend, Mark and another stranger raping Marks girlfriend, if this took place in 1991 how has their not been any digital evidence of these films, a film involving Thomas Buttcavage? I believe there was a pedophile network who was involved in the kidnapping that had connections to Buttcavage and the father. The man in the pony tail had reddish brownish hair, and Butcavage clearly dark black, so maybe it was some one else connected to the network.
He was not charged with any of the disturbing acts which I have discussed. However his barbershop singing group had connections to the main suspect Thomas Buttcavage.I am currently listening to the Vanished Podcast about Mark. The information about his father has, so far, not been discussed. In fact, there has been zero mention of Marks father. The statement above kind of caught me by surprise yet seem to tie in with some things a detective interviewed mentioned all with regard to the tracking dogs finding not trail of Mark leading away from the house.
I did some quick searching and there is not much mention of the father. There were some suspicions based upon his behavior after Mark's disappearance. If the father did the things mentioned previously, was he charged, tried or convicted?
