they did not return to the car for another three hours after she was found dead

that should be a first-degree murder charge IMO

they had to know she would not be alive after that length of time

The girl's father said his daughter, Milliani Robertson-Lawrence, was supposed to be in the care of relatives. The father had been serving jail time for the past 18 months and was trying to regain custody when he got the news his daughter had died.

Dad outraged his daughter died after being left in minivan for 8 hours

While family members say suffocation tragically killed Milliani, authorities have not yet released an official cause of death. Her father says his daughter was being cared for by her aunt and uncle at the time.

I think they meant , that they did not return to the car for three hours after the child was found, not that the left the child on purpose and thought she would be alive in three hours .

no but gross negligence = intent IMO
yes I think they intended to leave her in the car and disregarded any danger

Mother arrested after 1-year-old found in hot car

And, here is another one. Fortunately, the baby was saved. My issue with both of these cases, is that the Mother was charged. Unlike the Father in NY, who killed two babies, was given a pass.

The fact that there is a complete disparity in charges is a problem for me. Is it based on bias? Socioeconomic? Judging?

Do you have a link for the mom being charged? I haven’t seen her mentioned at all. Only that the aunt and uncle were watching the baby when they left her at the transit station for eight hours.

I thought Rodriguez in NY was charged with two counts of manslaughter but out on bail? I haven’t read or heard anything in the past week or so though so I might be out of the loop.

Heartbreak As Two Children Die One Hour Apart After Being Left In Hot Cars

Now I'm curious if she was alive or not when the car was left.

I don't live far, about 25 minutes away. Friday temps were supposedly 87 but with the heat index it felt more like 92 according to what I'm reading. I'd say it felt hotter, especially at the train station where there's no trees. The cars are in the direct sun all day due to no trees. That car had to get really hot, really fast.

'You Killed My Daughter': Dad of 22-Month-Old N.J. Girl Who Died in Hot Car Shares Heartbreak
"What did you do for eight hours that you forgot a 2-year-old?," asked the grieving dad

August 20, 2019

"A New Jersey father is mourning the death of his toddler daughter, who was left in a locked minivan on Friday for more than eight hours.

A statement from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office confirms the 2-year-old victim, Milliani Robertson-Lawrence, was pronounced dead shortly before 4 p.m. on Friday.

“At approximately 3:38 p.m., Camden County Central Communications received a 9-1-1 call in reference to a child inside of a van” at a train station in Lindenwold, New Jersey, the statement indicates....

...“The baby was pronounced deceased at the scene at 3:54 p.m.”

At this point, no criminal charges have been filed. The statement does not identify the person or persons who left the child in the van, and it was not clear if authorities believe the girl’s death was an accident...."

Probably the aunt.

Probably the aunt.

But I thought police said the people that owned the car didn't show up for another 3 hours after Milliani was found - no?
Would not the police talk to the person who called 911 on the scene?

Good question. The "facts" as presented in msm do not add up. How could the aunt have arrived 3 hours after baby was found and yet made the 911 call? Someone had broken the window when the police arrived. Who was there and knew she'd been there since that morning?

Ohhh I didn't remember reading about the aunt not showing up for 3 hours. Disregard my previous post then.

Perhaps the person who called 911 was an employee who spotted the child in the car and due to records knew how long the car had been there.

Another one, this baby survived.

Mom arrested as baby in hot car survives: 'How do you forget your baby?' - CNN

"I don't know, I honestly don't know how it happened. I don't ... I'm freaking out, I'm sorry. I just, I don't know how it happened. Like, how do you forget your baby?" Holly says to an officer during an interview, police footage shows.

"I think that these people who do it who you see on TV, I'm like, 'God, how stupid are they to leave their kids in the car?' And then it happened," Holly says.
