Does anyone know if Paul’s wife (ex wife?) and/or his daughters attending the trial?
I know they initially supported him, do they still?
Insightful questions and Id like to know as well.

However, there’s been no MSM (that I could find) reporting that the defendant’s wife SC or two daughters are attending trial. If I recall the defendant’s family were at home during the arson fire defendant allegedly set on his own property. Thank goodness they escaped unharmed!

Speculation: will defendant’s family be called to testify (?) and I can understand why they would stay away from courtroom.
It's supposed to be a long trial.

Personally, I dont think it's going to matter.

New Jersey tech boss Paul Caneiro scored a big win before his quadruple murder trial even began when a judge ruled to keep secret that the female pal he allegedly lavished gifts upon with stolen money was his mistress, court documents reveal.

1/22/2026

Lawyers for Caneiro, 59, had argued their romance could “mislead the jury into a moral judgment” — and insisted it was “irrelevant” because his wife “was aware” of the cheating and continued to live with him anyway, according to the order obtained by The Post.

Oh I think any juror over the age of 16 can figure it out pretty quick.

I haven’t watched it every day but when I did watch it Paul had a blank face. It’s as though he is not phased by the horror. Has he been like this throughout?

Asbury Park (APP.) requires a subscription but from the video captions, it seems 1/22/26/Thursday was limited to the prosecution witness Lt Nicholas Cattelona showing the jurors Paul's extensive gun collection found in his home as evidence; Lazaro Cardenas, trust attorney, testified about the policy beneficiaries; and more from the detective about Paul on video disconnecting the home surveillance system.

Also, I think they might be cutting court hours short over concerns about the weather forecast.

Since I really do not want to listen to videos - I shall ask you - on red bold in quote:
was it Ocean Police Department Officer David Marino Jr. or Detective Debra Bassinder? TIA! :)

A blank face is a perfect description. He has to know he's going down in flames, and he's sitting in court thinking he has nothing to lose by going to trial. An incredibly selfish loser with a bankrupt soul. JMO

TRIAL HIGHLIGHTS

DAY 7 – 1/22/26

  • LIVE STREAM: NJ v. Paul Caneiro – Day 7 | Mansion Murders Trial
  • Prosecutors began the day showing jurors photos from the Ocean Township Police Department search of Susan Caneiro’s white Porsche Cayenne, moving into the rear cargo area where a black backpack was found. The detective identified a knife, a U.S. passport, a gun barrel and other firearm parts, keys (including an Audi key), and a large group of bank/credit cards that were mostly in Paul J. Caneiro’s name, with one in the name Giselle Restrepo. He also identified an envelope containing 17 U.S. savings bonds in Katelyn and Marissa Caneiro’s names (Paul Caneiro’s adult daughters), a T-Mobile SIM card, Paul Caneiro’s passport, and a FLIR One Pro thermal camera.
  • Jurors saw a piece of black nitrile glove found on the floor behind the driver’s seat in the Porsche Macan, and heard about the Nov. 23 basement search where jeans were recovered as part of a debris pile; the state forensic laboratory later found an unfired cartridge in them

Also, reading between the lines and through the crypic talk in court right now, I think Corey Caneiro - the 3rd Caneiro brother - is going to testify next week. Remember, the defense has pointed to him as the killer.

His face reminds me of Kohberger’s blank face. Chosen defiance.
