Doing a search, this undated video popped up and implies it was put out 2 days ago about a hearing on Friday. I haven't had a chance to view it yet, but hopefully, it is for the Friday 4-12-19 date.
Anymore, a lot of links are showing up undated but two (or three) days ago. When you click on them, it turns out to be two months ago instead.

Colts Neck murders: Prosecutors turn over 1,172 pages of new evidence against Paul Caneiro

Prosecutors have given the defense more than 1,000 additional pages of investigative reports in the case against Paul J. Caneiro, the man accused of killing his brother’s family in Colts Neck last year, and they plan to turn over 950 financial reports to show the quadruple murder was motivated by greed.

The volume of additional evidence will delay the proceedings against Caneiro, 52, of Ocean Township, who is charged with the murders of his brother, Keith, 50, sister-in-law Jennifer, 45, nephew, Jesse, 11, and niece, Sophia, 8.

Defense attorneys were expected to discuss what motions they intend to file in the case during a conference Monday before Superior Court Judge Joseph W. Oxley. Instead, Patricia Bearden, a deputy assistant public defender who is representing Caneiro, told Oxley she just received 1,172 pages of additional investigative reports from prosecutors late Friday and she needs time to go through them before deciding what motions to file.

Christopher Decker, an assistant Monmouth County prosecutor, said he still has about 950 documents to turn over to the defense "as a result of a financial investigation that's been ongoing."

Decker would not elaborate on what is contained in the newly turned over investigative reports or what the 950 financial documents contain.

After the murders were discovered in November, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced that authorities believed the motive for the killings was financial, and that his office would be launching an investigation into the Caneiros' finances.
Caneiro, dressed in a mustard jail uniform, sat silent through Monday's brief court proceeding.

Bearden said Caneiro has been actively reviewing the evidence against him and will do so with the newly submitted documents.

She said she needs to go through the new reports, as well as the forthcoming financial documents, before she can determine what motions to file.

"We have to go through them to see how they relate to Mr. Caneiro's defense," Bearden said.

Decker could not say when he will be providing the financial documents, saying that portions related to other parties not involved in the criminal investigation need to be redacted.

Oxley scheduled the next conference for May 28.

Assistant Monmouth County prosecutor Nicole Wallace said there was no plea offer on the table for Caneiro except for him to plead guilty to all of the charges & be imprisoned for life without the possibility of release on parole. Judge Oxley scheduled a conference in the case for April 12.

Prosecutors are still in the process of providing a “monstrous” amount of financial documents to Paul Caneiro’s defense attorneys, delaying progress in the prosecution of the Ocean Township man accused of slaughtering his brother’s family in Colts Neck last year.

At a brief court conference before Superior Judge Joseph W. Oxley, Christopher Decker, assistant Monmouth County prosecutor, said the state has to go through each of the “monstrous amount” of financial records and redact some information from them before turning them over to the defense.

Prosecutors allege that greed was the motive behind the slayings.

Oxley scheduled the next conference in the case for July 1.

Hi @Niner - I've not seen anything and can only guess that hearing was short, defense probably cited more about the thousands of pages they're reviewing, and PC not present. I recall he didn't attend last hearing either. MOO

FREEHOLD - Paul J. Caneiro, 52, of Ocean Township is facing a charge of insurance fraud on top of allegations that he murdered his brother and his brother's entire family over money disputes tied to their shared business interests, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office announced Tuesday.

A new indictment, announced by Christopher Swendeman and Charles Webster, spokesmen for Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni, alleges that he collected unemployment insurance for a car crash while continuing to work, receiving payments through his wife. If convicted on the new charge issued by a grand jury, Paul Caneiro could serve up to a decade in prison for it.

Caneiro could spend the rest of his life behind bars if convicted on the other charges he faces: four counts of murder, two each of felony murder and aggravated arson and a slew of weapon and other charges in the November 2018 shooting and stabbing deaths of younger brother Keith, 50; sister-in-law Jennifer, 45; nephew Jesse, 11; and niece Sophia, 8, at their Colts Neck mansion.

Paul Caneiro was a minority owner in the Asbury Park-based technology consulting business Square One, but his brother, Keith, was frustrated with the amount of money Paul was spending from their business accounts, the affidavit said. It said Keith, who had a 90 percent stake in the company, told business associates he planned to cut payments made to Paul’s wife, who was collecting money on her husband’s behalf after he was injured in a car wreck and deemed disabled.

Keith Caneiro also wanted those payments to stop flowing until he found the source of money that had gone missing, he told the two business associates in an email, according to the complaint. Keith forwarded that email to another brother on Nov. 19, the night before he was found dead outside his Colts Neck mansion, according to the complaint.

ETA: This is a heart wrenching account of what appears to be PC's pure greed.

I'm speculating that PC was also skirting the law claiming disability income, while his wife became a straw employee collecting his salary.

I'm reminded of the disgusting gfundme page immediately put up by/for PC's daughters for their own needs shortly after the massacre of their Uncle & his beautiful family. Hope the investigation does not stop with PC....every stone needs to be turned here.
