Good point. It's starting to feel like how every photo of Big Foot and the Loch Ness monster is such poor quality.

The White House has repeatedly stated that drones over New Jersey are not US military or foreign adversaries, leaving experts to suspect the government is secretly involved.
But Matt Sloane, founder of drone consulting firm AI Skyfire, told DailyMail.com that the sightings could be 'a contractor developing these drones for DoD [the Department of Defense].'; it's a warning for others to stay out of the area during those dates.

It'd be nice if both parties (Ridolfi & Sloane) were quoted by other msm and not just the DM.
But if so, and this is military testing for our protection in the U.S., why not just let the public know ?

White House presses for Congress to provide more authority to address drones in U.S. airspace
Members of the House Intelligence Committee received a closed-door briefing on drones Tuesday from the FBI, the CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
After the classified briefing, Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., the top Democrat on the panel, said the drones are not being used “unlawfully” or by individuals “with malign intent.”
"We were assured, and we asked this question over and over and over again. They are not federal government operations to sniff radiation, gas recovery, anything else," referring to a series of conspiracy theories about what was prompting the reported drone sightings.
IMO, that’s as good a confirmation as any that these our our defense contractors.

So, we are back to aliens again. Okayyyy
During the day you see something flying by and it’s wow a great big drone look at that.
At night it’s like what’s that noise, what is that, it’s so low, that’s not plane lights, Aliens!
As much as I love a mystery, imo, these are commercial interests already heavily invested in utilizing drones and with no appetite for regulations and Musk in charge we can look for drones flying at night low over our homes to become common place, imo.
I’ll be telling my grandchildren Mamaw saw her first big one back when you could enjoy a quiet evening looking at the sky without seeing drones chugging and zipping everywhere.

I'm curious if Mayorkas knows anything more than we do ?
Also, doubtful Elon Musk is behind this, as he is not, 'in charge' .
So is it foreign or just the Dept. of Defense maneuvers ?
It'd be nice if the current admin could clarify; if they know what's going on with the drones.

Your comment (which I know was in jest) that we should accept it and go on our merry way made me think of the OLD movie Soylent Green.
