Agreed, but if he were actually dealing, the underhanded bit of publicity might be advantageous.I agree. And it was 1979, so matches were everywhere people might smoke, and were something to logo.
I do find the doodling on the cigarettes interesting. Not only does it seem like a younger teenage thing to do, but somewhat rebellious "Hi Everyone, I smoke WEED and POT and JOINTS." We get it. I don't think an older teen or kid into the 20s would draw on the box. And a heavy smoker wouldn't have the box long enough to think about doing it in the first place unless he were in detention, etc.
Even with a younger smoker, I don't think an individual pack would be around for long.
