But that is only one side of the story. The first time I read that Facebook post from the Lindenwold PD it sent chills down my spine. Can you imagine the people "reporting you missing" to the police accusing you of a crime instead of worrying about your wellbeing? It sounded like the only reason they even bothered to contact police was just to enlist them to track her down for the money. No wonder she bolted, they sound horrendous.The groom likely would not have given money, but purchased the ticket and sent her the flight information.
I believe she did spend a few days with the groom/family. Then someone picked her up and she left. I suspect she was talking to someone in the states online and this was the plan all along.
Whatever the case, I hope we get an update soon.
And yes, hopefully she did have a contact here as a safety plan just in case all wasn't what it seemed and she needed to escape. Every woman should. That's what we teach our daughters. I hope and pray that is truly what has happened.
