GUILTY NJ - Trial of Christopher Gregor Allegedly Beat 6-Year-OId Son to Death #2 *NG murder, Guilty endangering welfare, agg manslaughter*

and we are back on the record - judge asking defendant about testifying.

nobody can comment to the jury about your decision not to testify. Going through the instruction about his decision not to testify.

Back on the record.

He will not testify.

It's official.

CG looks utterly defeated.

  • #184
Defense has no more witnesses. Wants three exhibits entered into evidence.

  • #185
no further defense witnesses. Defense only has three exhibits currently entered into evidence. They would like to move a few more into evidence now. State would like to see those prior to agreeing.

will argue tomorrowa bout which, if any, can be entered into evidence. One of the docs at issue is the AMA Gallucci used to attempt to impeach BM when cross examining her.

Judge is pushing for Closings to take place tomorrow. Defense would like more time reminds court he was very ill. Judge not buying it, you knew this was coming, it's not a surprise. There is a jurist who has requested being excused thursday to attend a wedding - delaying now will only serve to create an issue in that regard.

Geez, Defense wants until Thursday for closing.

The judge looks rather defeated. I'm sure it's the heat and the awareness that everyone is suffering in it

Defense wanted to go on record, something about a missing witness, Dr. R.

State upset. Says the time for that was before, that either party could call him, and it's not appropriate for the defense to do this after the State rests.

Judge seems to be reviewing his thoughts out loud. He is saying either side can say he wasn't called. That's all.

Neither side however can reference what he would have said, only that which has already been in evidence.

Judge will not add a specific charge about Dr. R.

defense wants to give a charge which would give an adverse inference to Dr Ragasa not being called to testify. State strongly objects. Defense should have made this request a while ago. they all knew Dr.'s schedule and the fact that he was going to be unavailable. defense had every opportunity to call him out of order if they chose. they did not do so.

inappropriate for the court to issue such a charge. Question then becomes whether or notdefense can comment about the absence of the Dr. It is the elephant in the room. Highly likely that the jury already appreciates that the Dr. did not appear.

they've already heard evidence that he initially listed COD as undtermined and that he then changed his report after reviewing the report from Dr. Andrews.

jury will use common sense to draw conclusions. Court will not give a missing witness charge.

So the coward is not testifying after all?? We got played by the reality tv star as some of you suspected. Darn! I was really hoping he would testify - I figured he wouldn’t be able to resist and would go against Gallucci’s strenuous objections. There is zero benefit to him testifying for sure. That treadmill video alone makes him testifying a very bad, bad idea! I’m not going to bother with Baden.

I can’t believe Galluci is asking for a delay to do closings! With all the delays in this trail??? He has some nerve!

I just now noticed how much Christopher physically resembles his father. The Sr. Gergor looks like a more worn and aged version of the baby faced Christopher.

If I were on the jury.....why the delays for one officer??? and Dr B?????

Accused Child Killer's Son Likely Died from Rapid Pneumonia, Not Treadmill Abuse

Hyperspeed Pneumonia, or some such?
I mean, honestly. On 4/2 until 1am at the Jersey Shore Medical Center... sweet Lil Corey was FINE. Just FINE. Everyone said so.

The case of this deceptive abuser hits close to home for me --- seeing the images of Corey and Breanna's loss... this absolutely breaks me. There are newer pics she's shared and he looks a little older, he never had a chance to grow up... something about the kid, I can tell his teachers also found him to be special. ♡

Well well, that went all as I expected...........a total train wreck really.

Blame put onto the hospital staff .

Ignores the blood work, including negative blood cultures , says they are basically useless taken approx 1hr prior to death.

Dr Baden you are a disgrace to the medical community, time to hang up your hat Doc.

I had to laugh at the questions about Corey mumbling a few words & Dr Baden asking if that was before or after he was intubated   Geez Doc as if a patient is able to talk after being intubated!!

Of course CG was never going to get on the stand, just more theatrics from this appalling defense attorney.

As to Corey dying of SUDI ( Sudden Unexpected Death In Infancy) , this made me laugh, Corey was 6 years old DOC, not a baby, nor a toddler!

SUDI can be defined as the death of an infant from birth to 12 months of age that is sudden, unexpected and would not have been anticipated to occur 24 h previously in an infant with no known pre-existing medical cause for the death.

I am so grateful to all posters for this superb precis of testimony so far. That wretched Baden. SIDS. He ought to be struck off the register just for that. That was just appalling, and embarrassing. No one could be that silly. I expected at least some nod to common sense..

I am so petty , the thing that really shocked me from today's testimony was the outfit Ms Ferrante clobbered herself up in, combined with the peculiar hairdo. Navy blue and black!!.... against all known fashion rules. Murphy, the Sea Bright guy, he seemed straight out of central casting, what the meaning was in his testimony escapes me.

I have not got to the prosecutors c-ex as yet, I am still stuck on Baden's stuff. It was almost totally bereft of any professional 21st century medical expertise, injuries from res. application, ye gods, the hospital should sue Baden to the moon and back.

Well... Baden did not appear to handle being C-Ex very well, that surprised me, I thought he would bring experience of this to the stand, but no. He got testy and confused. ...

That sniveling slimy Gregor, he got a real good gig at the prosecutor ,in her stride , back at Baden and Threw In The Towel. Rolled Over. My view is, he held out on Mario about this, scaring the living daylights out of Mario until he, Mario cracked and begged him on bended knee, not to testify.

What a legacy to the Gregor name. To fold and cringe after all this hoo haa, knocking back a 30 yr plea, buying an old Doctor's testimony ( for a high price ) , covering Breanna with his vile accusations, dragging in Dad and Mum and their bank account, he does not even have enough guts to at least, at the very least, speak of his own son's wonderfulness.

The very few glimpses one gets of the Gregor sister, she is not pleased, not at all at how this whole shindig is progressing. A very peeved woman.
