While last December the New Mexico Supreme Court officially accepted Amicus Briefs from two parties outside the State of New Mexico versus Alexee Trevizo case, it appears that only the ACLU Amicus Brief was selected when the case goes to Oral Argument on September 4, 2025.

Wow, the Attorney General appearing for the State was totally unprepared from the jump...! Never mind that this is a timed presentation. Attorneys are trained the Appellate panel does not expect the presenter to read their brief to them (they've already read it)!! JMO

What was the violation of the doctor-patient privilege? Defense could not answer
Was privilege already broken because a third party had been allowed in the room (the mother)?

The New Mexico teen who allegedly dumped her baby in the trash after giving birth in the bathroom of a hospital is fighting to keep her taped confession out of court. Alexee Trevizo faces a first-degree murder charge for the death of her newborn. The then-19-year-old was allegedly caught on bodycam admitting to the crime after a nurse found the deceased infant in the bathroom. Her defense team is appealing to the highest court in New Mexico to strike the evidence from her upcoming trial. Law&Crime’s Chris Stewart is On the Case.
