Circumstances of Recovery: On 07/16/2022, the remains of an unidentified female were found on private property in Los Lunas, New Mexico. The decedent had no identification on her person and there were clothes, a backpack, and water bottle next to her remains. A diary was found inside the backpack with incoherent statements.

They couldn't be bothered to photograph and describe her clothing and backpack? The ME could not determine a likely age range? No height estimate??
I hope the effort they are making to identify her is strong and ongoing.

Not to be Captain Obvious, but "incoherent statements" might make sense to someone who knew her. Unless they mean "unreadable" or "unintelligible" in which case her handwriting might ring a bell for someone.

It's possible she had mental health issues. When I read incoherent statements I immediately thought it could be someone with schizophrenia.

Los lumas is roughly 3.5 hours from the Mexican border

Los Lunas. The town name appears misspelled in the thread title, in case anyone is looking it up.

Just maybe she will eventually be identified by DNA, I hope.
