New Mexico Department of Justice Arrests Father for Possession and Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material Containing His Child - New Mexico Department of Justice

The NMDOJ’s Internet Crimes Against Children got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding materials being sent or received on Kik on Jan. 23, the announcement said. An investigation followed and the IP address was found to be associated with Timothy Houle, 34, a divorced father of two children, one of whom matched the description of the child in the photo.

"A parent exploiting their own child represents one of the most horrific violations imaginable, and my office will prosecute this case aggressively," Torrez said. "Sexual offenders in New Mexico should be on notice: if you target or exploit children in this state, you will be found, arrested, and held accountable."
Father arrested for having photo of child being sexually abused

According to a criminal complaint obtained by ABQ Raw, the address was found to belong to Houle’s parents. He reportedly lived there with them and shared custody of his children with his ex-wife. A search warrant was executed at the residence.

According to Us Weekly, police spoke to the child’s mother, who confirmed the photo was of her child. She reportedly recognized her daughter’s chin in the photo and cried uncontrollably when shown the picture.
