I'm not sure if this is the same Jane Doe. It states "a still unidentified victim of strangulation and sexual assault (...)", was buried in Glorieta.

March 1975 Jane Doe

ETA: It's not the same Jane Doe. This one was left in the snow and it is believed to be a victim of the Zodiac Killer.

1974 Jane Doe

This article is for Sante Fe Jane Doe 1974.

There's an ETA in the post you replied to.

BBM for context.

I have the printed articles in my office. Weekend so not on me the news paper covered the burial of the Santa Fe Jane Doe quite thoroughly. It’s sad that the investigation was marred with amateur errors. I don’t know what the qualifications were for law enforcement offices in New Mexico but they really botched both of these cases. They don’t want spotlight on these because it would make them look like fools. Not DNA errors, wrong body, wrong identity, simple errors.

at others' behest i just submitted Lorelee Lhotka as a potential match to Jane Doe

17 years old, 5'3, 120 lbs, straight brown hair, brown eyes. had given birth to her daughter a few weeks before going missing from Seattle, WA sometime in early 1975. Lorelee is Indigenous, but imo there is a very strong physical resemblance to Jane Doe

I am praying they respond to you. New Mexico seems to ignore the matches I submit. Does it say they have DNA on file for this Doe?

unfortunately i don't know, as i only have a public NamUs account, but if i end up finding out once they reply then i'll include that info when i update this thread

i submitted the case by emailing both the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) -- one of Jane Doe's contact points on NamUs -- and Washington state's MMIWG Cold Case Unit. the contact point for Lorelee on NamUs is the King County Sheriff's Office, but there's no email listed there on NamUs or for their Missing Persons Unit on their website, so i decided to email the AGO's MMIWP Cold Case Unit instead... hopefully that ends up working! i sent the emails around 3:45pm MT yesterday, and i doubt i'll receive one today, given it's veterans day

It is said that the best way to call for action is public attention. We need a podcaster or journalist to call New Mexico out for the abundance of errors and ignorance in the cases of the these two Jane Does. Embarrassment and shame should get them motivated!

I have tried to submit a possible match for her several time through different avenues and have gotten only one response from the Guadelupe Sheriff stating there are no records on this case. However i do think this is an excellent match and i am going to put it here and on reddit in hopes that if someone agrees they will have better luck. I only ask that you let me know if you succeed.
My theory is that this case was very personal. She was badly beaten in an up close and personal manner, then toed upright to a tree and left exposed. There is a lot of anger there. I make no accusations as I have none, but the missing person I think is a match would be a prime example of someone who would be killed under those circumstances. I also found an anomaly in the photo comparison that is more than coincidental. So please take a look and see what you think.
Missing Person is Lynn Brown. She is believed to have had mental issues and murdered her children before disappearing.
NAMUS

The photo anomaly is a small scar in her right nostril. Same size and shape.

Wow! Very similar!

New postmortem photos have been added, which are quite graphic. Retouched postmortem photo has also been taken off her profile.

I have submitted this Doe to Othram. I know they may have to do funding first but at least we are a little closer
