However, no sightings of a mothership hovering above the Sandia Mountains have been reported.”

“He probably was responsible for developing the latest technological advances used for weaponry within the Air Force. However, you know, it’s hard to believe that material retrieved from many decades ago would be a reason for taking him out now that President Trump actually directed the declassification of information that is not important for national security,” Loeb said.

McCasland’s disappearance comes shortly after President Donald Trump promised disclosure about whatever files the government holds on UFOs and alien life.

UFO investigator Ben Hansen also told NewsNation, “It is kind of a leap in speculation to go down the route of maybe being connected to UFOs.

“I don’t know that we have anything connecting it to UFOs at this moment, but it is very interesting,” Hansen added.

Both my father and stepmother died from different forms of dementia in the last two years. I walked their journey with them all the way ‘home’. Each one took a very different path of progression. So yes, I agree with you that he may have been able to bike a long way, even if cognitively impaired. And truly we don’t even know if it’s TRUE that he did bike 60 miles. In fact we know very little in the way of facts here so far. I pray that he is found safe.

A silver alert is usually for an elderly person with dementia, etc., but it can be activated for any senior. It's alert is decided by state rather than at a national level. Twenty-eight states and the District of Columbia have Silver Alert. My state, Minnesota, does not have Silver Alert. Instead, we have Brandon's Law that applies to all missing persons. It requires Minnesota law enforcement to report and investigate immediately the disappearance of any person over 18 years of age.

Criticism of alerts is that the colors will confuse the public. So far there are amber, silver, blue, yellow, and Ashanti alerts.

I have so many questions.
How do we know he "went for a trail run"? Is this an assumption or did he say so?
Is his home equipped with a Ring or Nest or some other type of camera? What does that footage show?
Is there any footage of him heading out to said trail run from neighbors' cameras or traffic cameras?
Did anybody on the trail report actually seeing him there?
How is this not front page news? I mean there is basically nonstop coverage for Nancy Guthrie with regular LE briefings... How is there nothing at all for an arguably way more important figure?

What strikes me about the wife's statement is that there's no call for help. No "please reach out if you have any info". Just thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I'm NOT trying to say she is in any way involved in his disappearance, but it's odd to me that she isn't calling for help. It's as if she already doesn't expect him to ever be found.
I'm not on social media so don't know if she's posted anything else.

I haven't seen anyone mention a Strava account yet but if he had any sort of device on him with the app on it, it seems like that would have come up by now. I am sure you are right--a nothingburger.... but his comments were rather flowery as when announcing something to be big and beautiful.
