That I am not sure, and I would not want to bet on it. It would just be a bunch of lie's if he did.

I think he probably wants to but I think Serna is shrewd and will not allow it. But I could be wrong. Levi know he didn't handle the civil deposition well so that may have scared him out of wanting to testify in this trial. Personally, I would love to see him take the stand but I don't think McKay or Keener have what it takes to screw him over.

Highly doubt it myself. I wish it was required.

NC I think you are right about McKay and Keener not being able to question LC to mess him up.

Serna though is not very organized so I don't how well he can pull off a defense. LC may have to testify in order to save himself. I guess we will see!

Just my :twocents:

Serna is crazy for sure. I am starting law school in the fall and I am in know way saying I know anything at this point and I have a good friend who just graduated from the law school (she is studying this summer for the bar) I will be attending (she is like an adviser to me) and we talk about cases and we talked on Saturday night a lot about this case and she said it is good that McKay is not objecting often because in a jury's eyes it looks like the party objecting is trying to hide something. My gut this whole trial has made me feel that it is better if McKay and the PT if there are weakness in the case just let them be stated and noted by the jury if McKay is object! object! this would not sit well with the jury. I know a lot of watchers on this thread disagree and that is fine. MOO Let the jury see the gun seated if McKay was objecting it would look suspicious. I could be way wrong. I like to hear other opinions on this.

CONGRATULATIONS CJ!!! Very impressive; what type of law will you want to go into, or is it too early to decide that?! You are always the voice of reason on the threads and I applaud your desire and determination to go to law school! Wowsers for sure!

Do you all think that Levi Chavez will take the stand?

I've been wondering this same thing.

I think he should, but I always think the defendant should because nothing would keep me off the stand if I was charged with a crime I DIDN'T commit. I know we're not supposed to infer guilt if they don't take the stand, but it sure is hard not to do just that.

I log in and some moron is taking a close up of Tera's mom's SKIRT WTH :stormingmad:

I tweeted Anna V from KOAT about this last night because I saw that too and she got back to me at around 10 pm and she said the camera man was trying to show that the Cordova's were holding hands. She then tweeted me that I am like a hawk and I tweeted that we are avid watchers here on WS and I said Anna V you are doing a great job from in the court room and she said back "Thank u!"

Oh Thank you so much CC and NCEast for your kind words. I have been wanting to do this for such a long time. I want to eventually work for the American Nurses Association writing policy and lobbying on behalf of nurse and the people who do not always have a voice. I also want to consult for law firms or work for a law firm to help prepare medical professionals for trials and depositions. Thank you all so much for your words because I am really scared to take this leap.

Being scared is only natural, but just by your thoughts and posts on this thread, it's very apparent you have a logical mind and strong feelings between right and wrong. You will make a great voice for those you mentioned don't always have one! You CAN do this! Congrats again!

So last night because I have this cold I got to go lay down early and my family did all the dinner and cleaning and stuff and somehow I went on this internet tangent of how crooked the Albuquerque police force is and how deep and far the corruption goes back. Then I found this case of Kaitlin Arquette. Wowsa!!! kaitarquette.arquettes.com/‎ I didn't look to see if there is a thread for her here on WS but there probably is. I spent a lot of time reading about her unsolved murder.

After reading about Kaitlin It is a real miracle this case has made it this far and if LC gets convicted then it will be IMO a big stone turned in changing the culture of the APD. One of the biggest and dirtiest scandals of the APD are car theft rings with dirty cops running them and big chop shops in connection to running cars and parts to Mexico.
I was born and raised in New Orleans La so I know about crooked police forces for sure and the APD is right there with the NOPD IMO and that is really bad. The DA of New Orleans for many many years Harry Connick was really good friends with my dad
and my dad told me when I was an adult that Harry tried his best but trying to clean up the department was like trying to swim through oil. I wonder how much resistance the DA's office really had for this case. Probably more than we will ever know. IMO

Anna V @Anna_Velasquez
Who will pay for a defense witness expert, bill is $2800. Serna says state, state says defense. Judge says split bill in half #levichavez

Serna is cheap!!

Thanks CJ for this information, I will have to look it up later. I will write her information down now.

My DH is retired from the USDA and had an opportunity to go down to NO and work undercover with another employee. Getting help from law enforcement was next to impossible back then and this was back in the early 2000's.

I think those plans are most honorable and worthy CJ. I am so darn excited for you. You must stay in touch so we will know how you are doing. I am so happy you don't want to be a criminal defense attorney :)
