I couldn't agree with you more, it's so unnecessary and likely offensive to the jurors, it would be to me.

I kindly disagree only because when I really find something ridiculous and I am arguing my point emphatically my face and voice change. So does my sisters and brothers we debate as a family on all sorts of topics and two of them are lawyers and it gets wild. MOO

I can see where you are coming from I just personally have a different point of reference.

serna really wants to impress the thought into the juries minds 'I will address each and everything the prosecution has said' repeat ad nauseum :P

Defense...I am here to talk about everything McKay said.....everything.....(only 3 hours worth, I hope).......

7 years of nonstop investigation of Levi Chavez.......packs of lies we are going to talk about......going to show you the prosecution lies......

4 years of investigation since they brought charges against him..........and now 2 years since charges have been filed.......

Now defense is counting on his fingers all the different agencies that have investigated the defandant.......and they have come up with a semi believable made up story.......(LOL)

The state has to iradicate any doubt of guilt.....any doubt at all......(that is not quite right tho).........burden is always on the state (for reasonable doubt)

I take a different observation and of course it is MOO. I don't hear it as sarcasm and I realize I may be the odd man out here. I hear as passion, the moving around, facial expressions, voice intonations all of it. I feel like McKay rocked it and tore LC up in credibility. I did not want McKay to stand there still and read the evidence off in a monotone like reading a lab report. He is fighting for Tera. This is just me. I was cheering in my car at the end saying some things out loud that I am glad no one heard.

I understand where you are coming from CJ. Are you watching or just listening?
If you are not watching maybe we 'saw' the sarcasm and you were not able to. He didn't talk down to them but his attitude was not altogether serious at various places during his presentation. Was it Cockoohead the other day who said everything so succinctly--nobody else in the world had motive to kill Tera, nobody who knew her thought she committed suicide, and that's what it all boils down to.
I don't know if McKay will finish or Keener but I bet if it's Keener she will be all business and fire.

I watched and listened I know this is bad but I run the video on the movie player in the car and watch at red lights or glance over. Yikes but I have a similar arguing style as McKay. I do not plan on being a trial lawyer but for my family maybe I have to work on my arguing style. I used it when I was on the debate team in high school and have not changed really.

I hope Keener finishes it too. I really get where everyone is coming from. The feedback and observations are awesome. Maybe McKay can learn from this.

Did the state save an hour then for a final cross? I lost track. It's friday people coming in and out of the office. I grew up with some sarcastic people who exchanged barbs with lightning speed but I don't want to see it in an attorney. I don't know how every member of the jury may take it so I don't think it should have a place in court. That and snickering. That burns me up when I see the defendant family acting as if they are gathered at a BBQ. :stormingmad:

I first want to talk about some of the witnesses....we will get that out of the way and then......my feed froze up!

Back.....going more deeply into the case.....proceed with caution so you can arrive at the proper verdict......so you don't want until a month from now and wake up and think oh no what if it was suicide and he was innocent.

Not necessarily going to be ina nay liniar manner.......Tera's friends........they knew what was going on with her....they would see her in person nearly every single day.....when you look at the phone records Tera was not in contact with her parents....the people she does not call are her parents......no members of her family ever read her texts or her diary until after she was dead.

Talk about melony and andrea.....said Tera was sad and lonely....Levi never knew about Tera's affair......but the state says he did.......and melony was told about the car theft but not a fake car theft........she pointed out the nick and samatha wheeler wanted to know what she knew about the case....to the point where melody finally cut them off...(is defense going to blame these people?)

Just like Levi did, that seems to be the overall strategy but that is pretty much all the defense has to do. Deflect.

I don't know either if the prosecution is finished. I had to turn my volume down so my husband could talk to the cable people. He was in the same room with me and trying so hard, it was the least I could do but I sure didn't want to.
I grew up in a home with cynicism and sarcasm so I try not to let those two issues enter my personality. I'm usually very critical of ***everybody*** in these trials because I just know what I want the outcome to be.
The snickering burns me up too, it's so childish, and I hope McKay and Keener have learned their lesson but not at the expense of Tera.

Only 2 hours and 35 minutes to go.

Who wants to bet serna goes over his time and the state has to compress what they would have said at closing? AND THE JUDGE DOES NOTHING?

1. people who have followed this trial
2. every living being with common sense in the world
3. every moving creature in the galaxy and beyond (said in a Carl Sagan kind of voice)

Oh I love this one and I pray that the jury picked up on this... this is what LC would be tortured by the rest of his life .... WTF I am sorry this if freakin ridiculous!!!!

Serna: reason why #levichavez asked BFF about Tera's affair at funeral: otherwise he would be tortured rest of life, wondering

"She was happy about being married to a police officer"
Yes, and as soon as she found out he was a dirty cop she was ready to turn him in for auto theft.

Andrea says Levi says ,"thank you, you saved my life." when she told Levi that Nick and Tera were having an affair.........

Is Levi a little self centered.....after the sleep around type of guy he was.......that was what was in his heart....cause he had gone through a horror none of us hopefully have to go through..........Levi is a shy kind of reserved guy, kind of cocky? People usually enjoy his company.....but he was in a place that learning about his wife at that moment was something he needed......

Defense points out the date and how that date changed Levi's life forever........

Now speaking about Tera and Gena Cordova's testimony......Tera's self esteem came from being married to Levi...being married to a police officer and having children....not having to ask her parents for money...making it on their own........

Tera was not afraid of Levi and Gena Cordova was not afraid of Levi......Levi's story has never changed....the one person in this entire thing that has not changed.........

Yup that and trash the victim. So far I understand that Tera was a quivering mass of insecurities, obssessed in love with this d*ckhead and jealous of her young daughter (extra low one serna).

Seems McKay was about 10 minutes short of 2 hours. I may be wrong since I was interrupted there at the end.

I just got crazy happy, thinking the state has rebuttal time to remove all the cobwebby crap that serna has tried to lay on them.

Ok Serna prove Aaron Jones lies. I have been waiting for 5 weeks.
