I really don't understand why we are hearing all this hearsay from the defense attorney.

He is basically reading bits and pieces of the Slama's police interview, which is hearsay.

I totally agree, the defense attorney did the same thing with Investigator Jones' report too. Serna took everything out of context. Other trials I have watched the teams either side read whole pieces.

I hate to say this, but I don't think the DA has a very good case. With all these horrible witness they are bringing in it really is making their case look bad. imo

I do think however LC is probably guilty.

This will be an interesting case because of the delay by LE pigeon holing it as a suicide.

At this point I can't judge the strength or lack of one for the state. I will give them time. I think they do have several strong points pointing the finger at this defendant. It may be all circumstantial but if there is an overwhelming mountain of it I could see guilt as the outcome.

PS I don't think this lady with the excitement of opening her own salon, owning her own little business and moving on with her life WITHOUT Levi within days decided to end it all.

If I'm going to hear so much about this interview with Detective Jones, I would rather hear Detective Jones asking the questions then defense attorney Serna.

Why isn't the prosecutor objecting to all this hearsay..... :sigh:

She looks really, really tired today.

Why on earth would you sleep with a married man who told you he was also sleeping with several other women????

:sigh: Some things I'll never understand..

I'm trying to keep track of the big discrepancies in what Levi told different people.

Levi told the operator on the 911 call that he had just got home and found his wife dead. And it looked like she had been dead for a day.
He told this witness and I could be mistaken but didn't he tell someone else and they testified that he went in to take a shower and Tera shot and killed herself while he was showering.

Yes, this witness (Rose Slama) testified yesterday, that the defendant told her he was taking a shower when his wife shot and killed herself.

How can these women who are on public assistance and have a few kids afford to have their nails done?

Right and Jones said there were damp towels in the bathroom during his testimony.

Ah same witness. So this 'shower' hasn't been corroborated by anyone else yet. darn

Hopefully she has a friend that does it.

Yes I think by Jones because he said there were wet towels in the bathroom when they arrived on scene!! If Tera had been dead for a day as Levi said then the towels would have been dry. I hope the PT reiterates this point to the jury bc IMHO this discrepancy could get lost right?

Yes! yes! thank you, and a wet towel was found on top of the TV console. The dampness of the towel puts Levi at home @ the time Tera was killed.

LOL I love how Serna asks a question and isn't prepared for the answer he gets (it ruins his 'scenerio') and he says

"We'll get back to that, okay?"

Never to be heard about again... hahahahahahahaha

Not just at home but having conveniently showered and washed off blood spatter.

Devil's advocate - it doesn't prove he was there, unless his DNA was found in it. It proves someone showered. Wish the case was stronger.

That's exactly what I was thinking too. I read or heard somewhere that she was not bleeding horribly when found but I still think he may have gotten spatter on him and showered, never thinking LE would even question the towels or anything else he said.
