I have negative feelings of self worth often, but I sure as heck ain't thinking about killing myself.

Ok, I'm not sure he can say definitively anything about Tera--he never met her nor analyzed her personally. She was certainly not his patient. He's taking all of this from her texts and her journal, which oftentimes, are fleeting thoughts. I wonder how much he is being paid by the defense?

Good points! Let's hope the state asks those questions.

At least it was thrown in the garbage can--means nothing to me. Had it been thrown at a person, child or even a dog, I can see reading more into it. My husband has probably thrown a plate of food in the garbage if he didn't like it.
This man is bound to be Serna's brother--they both have a wonderful way of twisting things up to appear to be important and factual, when in actuality, they are not.

If I felt that he was being objective and constructing his thoughts from a purely medical point of view, I would be more inclined to latch onto his every word. He is a defense witness and most defense witnesses are , out to make money. Sorry, that's a harsh sentence but true.

As a nurse I have used that word Okayness when explaining different things to patients. I have also heard it used by other medical professionals.

If the prosecution is on the ball, they will take those same texts and parallel them with the dates he was cheating on her and/or had left her. I hope the prosecution will not just leave all of this on the table. There is plenty in this man's testimony the prosectuion can fight, but they have to have their ducks in a row.

Poor Tera. Her diary really sounds like she tried so hard to make her marriage work. She sounds angry, lonely and fed up. I would hope that the state will cross exam and get this expert to read further and show how the defense cherry picked passages.

I have been googling suicide by women and the majority are with handguns. I am very surprised at this statistic.
