The first thing I would request if I were a juror would be the crime scene photographs. Asking for the bullets strikes me as being very odd too.

Does seem like a bit of an odd request.

I am glad you and NCEast agree and it is not just me. I can't read anything into it but I want too.

In this news report from KOAT last night Anna V states that the jury asked to see the bullets. I thought from the package size that maybe they were asking for the gun clip but it was hard to speculate. I wonder why the jury asked for the bullets?

I think as a women I would have asked for the gun. To see how that felt weight wise and which way you would handle it. imo

The bullets do seem strange.

I do wonder if a women or a male is the jury foreperson?

Trial watching for me is like being pregnant then the verdict watch is like delivery and during the delivery I always think I am never doing this again, I can't remember how long the delivery was the last time either and then when the verdict is read it is like the end and I am relieved it is all over and then I am exhausted just like births of my 4 children. Then when a new trial comes along that hooks me and I do it all over again and again on the verdict watch I think I am not going to put myself through this again.

Oh good question... I wonder too now. Hmmm?

One of the jurors may know something about ammunition but I can't think of anything looking at the bullets could tell them.

This made me LOL!! I love your analogy, and it's true!!!

The gun would probably be my second request. I, too, would like to handle it, feel the weight, and try it right side up and then again upside down to see how my fingers would have to work in both positions.

Twitter is so quiet. Nothing from any of the reporters saying that the jury got started. Why so quiet I wonder. The jury should be at work by now. I hope.

This is a Tuesday am article written by ace reporter Jeff Proctor:

Prosecutors pack up as jury weighs Chavez case
By Jeff Proctor / Journal Staff Writer on Tue, Jul 16, 2013
Panel deliberates more than eight hours, will continue this afternoon

BERNALILLO – Early Monday, prosecutors loaded several large boxes of case files into the back of a gray SUV and drove slowly out of the parking lot outside the state district courthouse here.

It was a clear sign that lawyers have finished their part of the murder trial of former Albuquerque police officer Levi Chavez.

Now it’s time to wait for a decision from the nine-woman, three-man jury who spent more than eight hours deliberating Monday without reaching a verdict.

Attorneys in the case told the Journal that deliberations won’t resume until 1 p.m. today because one of the jurors has a morning appointment.

CHAVEZ: Accused of killing wife in 2007

The prosecution team, Senior Trial Attorney Bryan McKay and Assistant District Attorney Anne Keener, will wait. As will attorney David Serna, who is representing Chavez, accused of first-degree murder and evidence tampering for allegedly killing his 26-year-old wife, Tera Chavez, in the couple’s home near Los Lunas in 2007 and staging her death to make it look like a suicide. The defense contends her death was, in fact, a suicide....

I know they are not very good at keeping us up to date. KOAT who has been livestreaming you would think they would be tweating every time something happened.

As difficult as waiting is for us, I can't imagine how it must be for the attorneys and the families. I'm not even thinking about LC.
As an aside, I'm listening to the Best of Janis Joplin--dating myself a little bit here, but it's a very nice diversion.

I can't even keep the KOAT page open, the video box just buffers with no way to stop it.

Unless nothing is happening yet.

I can keep the WILD page open but what they have on is mind blowing--especially with Janis going in the background.
