NM - Tera Chavez, 26, found dead in her Los Lunas home, 22 Oct 2007 - #2

I hate it! I am not surprised!

The judge did not make the Chavez family stay!

Just remember he'll get his sooner or later.
I'm very disappointed, but not surprised.
I'm not watching the living coverage--all of their celebrating makes me sick to my stomach.

I know many are disappointed with the verdict. But please peeps, don't resort to name calling etc.

We all knew the decision could go either way.

Prayers for Tera's family. I'm sure they're crushed.

Oh Fran I don't like seeing that on the title!

The judge knew the verdict. He told the prosecution side to leave first after the verdict was read. I had a feeling right then it was not guilty.

I think whoever linked corruption in the police force articles was right. They want this buried like all the other stories.

Just shaking my head right now.

oh good, now he will be able to devote all his time to the running of his new brewery "The Angry Wife"

:banghead::banghead::banghead:

tera, i am so sorry that you knew evil like you did........may god protect your children, they will need protecting........

:(

She didn't kill herself. I wasn't there....but she didn't. I just know it. Even in death...no justice. Nothing.

:(

Just as well, he will probably never get hired anyplace again. A bar, there's always problems when people are drinking. LC's name may pop up again in the future.

Celeskitty, I felt the same when I heard the judge saying that the Cordova family should leave first. I always feel the judge knows ahead of time anyway before everyone else.

Me too kitty, when he said that I knew he wasn't trying to protect the Cordova family from a just-convicted killer but rather LC from them. I feel so bad for them, losing her like that, all the fighting to even get an investigation underway and now this, there really is no justice for the Cordovas.

Well this is a fine how to do!......I missed the live feed after watching this thing all the way through.....and now I feel really crappy about the verdict! How I wish this wouldn't have been not guilty! And now I am sad for Tera's family....no justice for them today!

So disgusting and disappointing, but I have to say this one worried me. You all know what I mean. I had a bit of renewed hope from the PT's closing--a somewhat rare moment of zealous advocation for Tera (MOO)--and the 9-3 female jury, but to no avail. I'm just sick. I think I'm gonna go throw up my ziti now. Hugging you all.

I don't think I will ever understand juries..... respect for doing the job, yes.
But...sigh.
Enjoy your night everyone, I need a break (as we all do I reckon).

A little surprised that with 9 women and 3 men, a male was chosen as foreperson. Just an observation.

Eeeek.... ashamed to live in Albuquerque, NM right now!

I appreciate your thoughts but don't feel ashamed. This entire trial was strange so the verdict doesn't surprise most of us.
After 5 weeks of not knowing how to spell Albuquerque, I just learned how this past weekend :)

What are we going to do until the next trial Ladies?

Next week my dh and I will be babysitting our 2 1/2 yr old GD while dad and mom go to Aruba. She will be in daycare during the day thought, so I will be bored. We are staying at their house while they are gone, for GD convenience.

But on this one, I really felt they would find him not guilty.

There just wasn't enough evidence.

I think if the crime scene had not been contaminated from the get go, that they could have won a conviction.

I will forever want to know who's blood was in the tolite that was flushed. If it was Levi's- and he said that he hadn't been there for a long time (as he did), that might have pushed the jurors over the edge.

So, sorry Tera and her children and family. Maybe they'll get somewhere with the civil trial. It seems like this judge did not let the Pros present much of what they wanted to present.

:moo:

This was one of the strangest trials I have ever watched......the defense was strange....the prosecutors seemed to be kind of pathetic at times....the judge acted like defense was his golfing buddy.......just strange! But the Cordova family was a shining beacon through this entire cham. I will send them strength tonight......

I want to be where ever the rest of you all are!!!

Let me take this opportunity to say that I honestly feel that I have made good friends with you guys during this trial. I am sad, in some ways, to see it end. In the NC trials, there are so many divisive attitudes that it's difficult to bond with others on WS at times. I love you all....and don't leave me out of whatever the next trial is you all will be watching!!!
