Aha, perhaps NBC did walk to the bus stop to get a lift. Perhaps they knew their car would disturb a light-sleeping neighbour. I used to have one like that who would always tell my mother what time I got home :banghead:

I think that is a HUGE possibility! good thinking, he might not have wanted to wake his wife either. I can so picture this scenario in my minds eye. NBC gets the phone call, gets dressed and sneaks out the house and walks up to kenmore roundabout to meet him. It would explain why GBC didnt take the back road through rafting ground.
But, as I type this, it occurs to me that it would be easier for GBC to simply pick him up down the road from his house, not have NBC walk that far. I forget which street they live on, but I thought it was further along Moggill Road down near kilkivan ave. It would be pointless to walk up to the roundabout, only to be driven back past home on the way out to Mt Crosby. What street do they live on? IF it IS that way, then NBC and GBC must have had a reason to be meeting at the roundabout...which just makes me think of the carpark/bins all over again

Unless the police know it was GBC and NBC on the other end..they may have more info on it than we know. And if not, if one of the girls, it is obviously GBC iphone, so depending on where it was.. would they be using it? maybe, maybe not. If they have a normal landline phone, not sure why they would..

Hi Minni.. I saw you ended up taking a forced break ;) ..

Hi Unfolding...yes, a rather lengthy break, as it were!! and not an hour after I beseeched everyone to enjoy Allison's fundraiser cricket day, and not get any time outs by letting other posters annoy them too much...hmmm, I should try practicing what I preach, it would do me the world of good!! its good to be back on Allisons birthday and be able to send some love and thoughts to her children, and its good to be here to share it all with you fabulous and loving people x

In regards to the BC'S rights to remain silent (or anyone for that matter) i just found some information about it.

The right to remain silent

In most circumstances you must give the police your name and address, but other than that you have the right to remain silent. You can refuse to answer questions asked by police whether you have been stopped in the street, you have been taken to the station for questioning or you have been arrested. You should refuse to answer any questions or sign any statements until you have spoken to a lawyer.

Police interviews and questioning

If police ask you to go to the police station to answer questions, you don't have to go unless you are arrested.

Police must tell you that you don't need to answer their questions. Always get legal advice before taking part in a police interview or giving a formal statement.
If you are under 17 and questioned by police, you must have a 'support person' with you (unless you are being questioned about a minor offence such as obscene language or possession of property suspected of being stolen).

The support person should be a parent or guardian, a solicitor or a person who is acting for you who works in an agency that deals with the law. If none of these is available, get a relative or friend you would like to have there. If this person is not available then get a justice of the peace.

You should tell the police which person you would like to have with you.

If you make a statement to the police, you have a right to get a copy of it. You also have a right to get a copy of any taped record of the interview.

Happy Birthday Allison...it's such a beautiful sunshiny day today...you are, I'm sure, a part of that sunshine on everyone's shoulder....

JOHN DENVER Sunshine on my shoulders with lyrics - YouTube

Geez Marly, this song is so very beautiful, and so very appropriate, but damn it, you've got me crying again already.....I think, for me, that this has to be the song that will always make me think of Allison.

Thankyou, beautiful choice xx

On the top of the forum is a blue bar that starts with home, user Cp, blogs.

Further along on that bar is "quick links". If you click on that the menu comes up and you can click on "subscribed threads". I have that page bookmarked for quick access to the last thread I was subbed to.

You automatically subscribe to threads if you post. To manually subscribe there is another blue bar where the thread starts that has "thread tools" on it, you can subscribe there without posting.

If you hit "new posts" on the first blue bar, Allison's thread is normally always near the top in the list because it is frequently being posted on.

When going into a thread, click the blue box with the arrow > on it to get to the newest post for you. If you go into the thread without doing that, there is another link on the thread's blue bar that says "view first unread".

HTH!

I like to think when Allisons body was in the river her soul floated away to somewhere safe..

This is why my birthday tribute to Allison is this song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCrEoWE3sHM&feature=related

Baby dry your eyes
There's no need to cry
Cause I'll see you again
It might be a while
Before you understand

[Chorus:]
I'm just away down the river
A hundred miles or more
Crossing over Jordan
To the other shore
I'll be standing waiting
With all who've gone before
I'm just away down the river
A hundred miles or more

Now the pictures on the wall
Will help you to recall
They're not there
To make you sad
But to remember
All the good times we had

[Chorus]

When it's time to leave
You're gonna feel the mountain breeze
And the snow will fill the stream
And carry you to me

[Chorus]

Thankyou Mouse, this is really beautiful and fitting. All that we do here on this forum, our reason for being here, all the personal stories, the grief for Allison, and the coming together and connecting we've all experienced, and of course, our single minded goal that Allison and her daughters recieve justice, really overwhelms me sometimes. and today, the sharing of special songs that mean so much to each person, fills me up with hope that justice will in fact be served, and the truth will all come out in due course. It also makes me super super teary when I listen to these songs, but in a positive way x

Happy Birthday Dear Allison

It is also Princess Di's birthday today too

Two beautiful ladies both well loved and sadly missed

Yes, and both got a raw deal from their husbands and suffered in silence for a long time, trying to make their marriage work despite their husbands stupidity and infidelities. And both also devoted lots of love and energy into their children, so they knew they were loved, were taught excellent values and so on. Lots of similarities, these lovely ladies left a great legacy, but so much was tinged with sadness.

Respectfully snipped

It would be interesting to know if there were any movements at the NBC house late on April 19th or in the early hours of the 20th. Did neighbours hear the NBC car leave? We have not heard much information about the movements of the BCs around that time. IMO

Still reading so not sure if this has been said - there was a rumour that NBC was seen at a bus stop at the Kenmore Roundabout, and another rumour that he actually walked there. I am wondering if this is true, as their house is walking distance, and he could have done this specifically so that the noise of a vehicle didn't attract attention, and wasn't sighted anywhere in the vicinity of any of the relevant locations.

Not sure of how everrything would have played out with him being at the roundabout, if it turns out to be true, but I always felt it was a possibility.

Has anyone considered the possibility that the FaceTime call @ 12.30am was one of the kids who had woken up and couldn't find Mum and Dad? My 5yr old niece uses FaceTime to talk to her poppy (grandpa).

Now that would blow the case wide open.

Can NBC be put forced onto the witness stand when it comes to court and asked to explain the content of the call ?

THANKS OLLI!! :jail: no, it was not much fun :( as usual I was bursting to talk about certain things with you all and couldn't hahaha. and now we are back to sunday. I am notoriously naughty on sundays!!

Its like I wake up thinking,

'oh what a lovely day, I believe I'll kick the day off with a champagne breakfast today, surely that will be pleasant, harmless and not the least bit detrimental to my attitude later on in the day' or

'oh look, its lunch time, we should have a wine with our lunch today, its sunday', we'll just have one or two'

oh boy, I am on my best behaviour today though!! going to take the kids to a family fun day at their loical footy club..no internet there!!

I would have thought the QPS would have been able to tell if his car had been driven to Kholo Creek by the GPS but really have no idea about how it works.

Surely if he drove to an area such as this, there would have been signs underneath the vehicle of driving through this kind of scrub ??

Also if he cleaned the blood stain/car when he came home, it must have been still wet when the qps seized the car (early morning) as it would *not* have had time to dry being night time and cool weather. Just curious how he would have done it...

If he drovto the Kholo bridge there is no scrub, it's a bitumen road all the way. If you drive onto the small vacant patch it is just grassy and a bit of mud if its been raining, but nothing that could be considered scrub or have any effect on the underside of a vehicle that would be any different to drving into your own yard during wet weather. I've driven right there so i do know what it's like. Might be different if he went into the Scout Camp and disposed of the body in another stretch of the river though, not sure.

The cleaning of the blood could have been wet, however a bit of effort could have been put into drying it. But also, I noticed in one report early this week I think (I think it was a report that referred to the blood and released pictures of the inside of the cars) it mentioned the boot was full of kids toys, which on removal revealed the blood stains. Did anyone else see this report? It gave me the impression that a whole lot of kids toys had been put there to deflect attention from what was underneath.

I wonder if that's why NBC hasn't been arrested yet...because the police want to call him as a witness and force him to give answers to the questions he so far hasn't responded to.

Thanks, itsthevibe for sharing your local knowledge of the kholo creek bridge area.

No, I haven't read or heard anything regarding children's toys in the back seat of the car on top of the blood stains. Thanks also for sharing this info. If true it's a fairly desperate attempt to hide blood isn't it? As if the police wouldn't clear out the car and have a thorough look!

I keep thinking about the scout area too and tend to think that the connections to the B-C family are too obvious to make it where the killer placed Allison, if it was GBC. I tend to think the bridge would be more likely as less direct connection to the family and it could fit in with a fake suicide scenario.

MOO

It is a very sad day, being Allison's birthday but it's lovely to listen to and read all the tributes here. Thanks everyone for that.

My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with Allison's daughters, parents, brother and sister and all those who loved her dearly, on this sad day, commemorating her 44th birthday. Despite your sadness and trauma, you can take tremendous pride in the knowledge that many, many people recognized, validated and loved Allison for the person she was. I am sure she is watching over all of you and knows that her girls are very safe and very loved.
